Snorkeling Castaway Cay with/without rays

Sorry for all the posts! We're getting ready to board in a week for our first cruise, and I have a question about snorkeling at Castaway Cay. I've already booked us for Castaway Ray's, and I know it involves some snorkeling. I'm wondering if we can use the snorkeling gear we get there to continue snorkeling after, or if we get snorkeling gear before going to Castaway Ray's can we use the same gear we've already used? Or is there a time limit to the gear we get for snorkeling? Hopefully that made sense. Basically I want to be able to snorkel both the ray area and the rest of the lagoon, preferably without having to deal with fitting masks and such twice..Thanks in advance!

The snorkeling gear with the Stingray Adventure is only for there. You must return the snorkeling gear when you exit the area and cannot be taken to the other beaches.

I don't know what the official policy is, but I asked after the stingray excursion and was allowed to take the snorkeling gear with me. This was on the Magic if that makes a difference (maybe on the smaller ships they know they won't run out).
