Our family of 8 will be cruising Dec5-9. I was wondering about snorkeling on Castaway Cay. I know you can rent equipment and snorkel in hte area with the submurged ship. But, do you have to rent their equuipment? Can you bring and use your own? My little ones have really tiny feet and I can never seem to find rental equipment to fit. Besides, it's so expensive. But, I don't know if they will actually allow you to use your own.
Does anyone know?
Thanks

Yes you can bring your own if you want to. My sister and her hubby brought all their own equipement when we went, no one said anything to them :)

We have brought our own snorkel gear before (had it on board for snorkeling in Cozumel)... Had no problems using it at Castaway Cay.

You can buy a decent set of gear for about what it costs to rent it at Castaway Cay. So if you're planning on snorkeling again, it's probably worth it to buy and bring your own. We always bring our own.

I bought my son and I our own gear for what it would have cost to rent on one cruise. We are going on our fourth Magic cruise and we snorkel at each port. St John's and Castaway are the best for kids I have found. We have seen all kinds of fish including a baracuda in Grand Cayman. Go to a dive shop and get some good gear, it is well worth it and you can use your own on any of the excursions or do like we have once you have your own, get off and get on a snorkeling boat for alot less $$$$.

The snorkeling in CC is pretty dissapointing right now due to the hurricanes. My dad and I went and there just wasn't that much sea life to look at. We brought our own stuff and didn't have a problem. We also snorkeled at Costa Maya and Cozumel. I miss the old snorkeling on CC.
