We will be on the Bahamian cruise out of Galveston and some of our party would like to snorkel. We have snorkeled in the eastern Caribbean and I have scuba dove key west 20years ago. Do any of you recommend the snorkeling trips? And yes the catamaran ride counts in the experience. I don’t think I am going to get anyone on a shark dive with me so this is the net best thing.

We snorkeled in Bahamas. We used DCL. I dont remember name of excursion. Lots of people, but nice time.

We snorkeled in the Keys many years ago not on a DCL trip. It was off a boat, first time the water was like glass and it was so nice. Two days later it was so choppy, not fun.

I don’t know how it would be off the beaches in KW, since th beaches are not the biggest and some are quite rocky.

There is an excursion to the Dry Tortugas from KW, I am not sure if DCL would offer this. It looks beautiful, but I don’t know if you would have enough time. You snorkel right off the beach and there is the Historic Fort Jefferson. I would love to go there someday. It looks awesome.

Good luck.
