Anyone have any recommendations on the snooze and cruise hotels near Port Canaveral? I did a little research online and found some hidden fees at one of the hotels. I don't remember which one it is, but the quoted price for the hotel stay was for 2 people and then $57 was added for each additional person!!! Therefore, that supposed "free" shuttle to Port Canaveral and "free" parking at the hotel basically would cost us $57. I know that's still cheaper than parking at the port, but found that to be quite deceptive, especially when I found out they only charged $11 per extra person when not using the snooze and cruise package.

Any thoughts?

We stayed at the Country Inn and Suites in 2010 before our 4 night on the Wonder and the free breakfast was great and the shuttle was prompt and we enjoyed our stay.

Another hotel right by the CI&S was the Residence Inn by Marriot and there is also the Radisson. All three have shuttles that I have seen and all very close to the port.

Another option is to book a nice hotel in Cocoa and then park your car at a place like Park n Cruise which charges $ 6.99 a day plus tax and has a shuttle to the port that is free. With Park n Cruise if you book online right now their website is showing a special for $5.99 plus tax per day. http://parkcruise.com/

So I would price out a few options and see what works best for your family but to me the ease of staying close to the ship and just leaving the car at the hotel would beat out having to then repack the car and go to the park n cruise. Just would depend on the savings each would give me.

I can say that other Residence Inns I've stayed at were always very nice but I haven't stayed at the one in Port Canaveral. I'd stay there next time because the only issue we had at the CI&S were that the beds were very firm for our bad backs. But others have had no issue with the beds just our personal issue.

Those are the hotels that are closest to the terminal/Port.

So sorry that you ran into a hotel that charged that much for an extra person. Hopefully you can find something that is accommodating and not too expensive :)

We are doing the "Fly, Snooze, Cruise" package in October at Courtyard Marriott Cocoa Beach. We are a family of 5 and our package is our room for the night and transfers from MCO-Hotel/ Hotel-Port/ Port-MCO and my total cost was $240. 2 people were included in the package and I had to pay $35/ additional person. However, this is for roundtrip vs. DCL transfers which are $35 each way. Hope this helps!

We just stayed at the Country Inn and Suites in May. It was a nice hotel, included breakfast, parking, and shuttle to and from the port. The cost was about $150 for three of us. We would do it again.

Ok, make sure you know what the difference is. Some hotels offer a shuttle from their hotel to the cruise terminal only. Some of the Cocoa Beach hotels have a "fly, snooze, and cruise" package, which includes transportation from MCO to the cocoa beach hotel, then hotel to cruise terminal, then cruise terminal to MCO again. Some hotels the PPs mentioned do not have MCO transportation. I would bet that's where the extra fees would come from.

We stayed at the Country Inn and suites in February with their park and cruise special. It was $159, free breakfast (it was a nice breakfast too!) and free shuttle to the port and back.. I would do it again in a heartbeat!:goodvibes

Now looking for one in Miami for next february....

How early do the shuttles run to the port, do you recall? Do you have to register to get on a shuttle at a certain time? Thanks!:)

I believe they started at about 8 am.. When we checked into the hotel, they gave us a time for our shuttle... we were able to change it to an earlier time.. It really was run very efficient. They give you a phone number so you can call when you are ready to return.. Very easy and great people on the shuttle!

If it is $57 additional per person, wouldn't that be $114 for two people? Also, not all of the hotel parking locations for the cruise packages are secured.

Rate is for 2 people and each additional person is $57. Sounds like the OP wants to book 3 people in the room, therefore the extra cost to them would be $57 over the hotel quoted rate.
