I think they are going to do the "Symphony in the Sky" like they did on May 4th last year. There was no mention of Hoopla in what I read, so I didn't realize they were replacing it.
They are going to do the fireworks show, and it will replace Hoopla. There will apparently be a "Character Curtain Call" hosted by James Arnold Taylor instead. I don't think that means you get any one on one time with them or anything. I'm sure it's just a little short "goodnight" closing kind of thing.
Guess I won't jump through any major hoops to try to plan a trip for this. Without new Star Wars Attractions, Hoopla and some of the discussions were my reason to consider it. I don't do character M&Gs and fireworks to me are just okay as entertainment.
I was shocked when I read that this morning. Hoopla is SO popular! it's one of the reasons my kids wanted to go to SWW. now, they don't really care as much.
Unless you are in the first couple of rows or looking through someone's iPad you can't see the show anyway. The stage was too low and they didn't play it on the big screen on the stage. I'd rather see fireworks. At least they are visible.
But, but... you can see fireworks just about everywhere at Disney, and on every night! THAT'S NOT SPECIAL.... Not cool Disney. Not Cool at all.... ~NM PS. They played it on the stage screen and the American idol screen every time I have seen it...
I've only seen the show once and they didn't play it on the big screen on stage. I did see that you could watch it by American idol but by the time I figured that out you are packed like sardines and can't move till the shows done. I say not a problem getting rid of the show.
