We bought Aps for me, DH and DS4 last year. Other DS was only 2. We're going back this year and 1 day DS5 has a pirate cruise while the 3 yo is with us b/c he's too little to go. We were thinking of bopping over to MK for lunch and a few rides for an hour or two but don't want to waste a day on his park hopper just for that. The rest of the time that day will be spent at the pool. Is there any identifying feature that would keep us from using the other sons pass for this? A little unethical I know but we are buying tickets for him for the other 6 days, staying at the poly and spending lots of money in general.

1. Annual passes have the guest's name on them.

2. When annual passes are used, the guest sticks his fingers into an electronic device at the turnstile which (I think) measures some physical characteristics such as length.

In your case you are probably better off not going into the park for just a short time, find other activities to do instead.

Next trip: Late August 2004 (single digits) probably off site.

Do they do the finger scanny thing with the kids too??

I will be getting one for my 3 year old and I can see it being difficult to get him to scan his fingers

I will not make a comment on the original question as it is an ethical one that I choose not to comment on. But to answer the last question, no they do not do the finger scan on little kids. A) They grow so fast it wouldn't be accurate for long B) most little kids can't reach the biometric reader and C) adults have enough trouble doing it right. Little kids won't be able to apply the necessary pressure to make it work.

It was only this year that my DD5 started doing the finger thingy. Usually prior to this they ran her tix through and waived her through because we always had a stroller.

Basically, what you're asking is if it's okay to break Disney's rules.

No, it's not. At least by DIS policy. We don't condone breaking the rules, and as such, I'm locking this thread.
