Who wears sneakers to work and then changes when they get there. I used to think this looked ridiculous when I was younger but now I realized I care more about my feet not hurting then my looks.:teeth:

It astounds me now when I see women in 5 inch backless heels walking from the parking lot, down the stiars and around the platform at the subways station. Their feet must kill!

But that's just my opinion. I know mine did when I wore dress shoes to work. Now I just change when I get here.

So what do you do?

I wear the same shoes out as the ones I wear in. Except for some nice quiet times and I take my shoes off at my desk and go barefoot.:p

Definitely the sneakers! But there's a fair amount of walking in my commute. Also, you really don't want any of your naked foot skin to touch the ground in the NYC subway system. Who KNOWS the origin of that grime. Bleh.

When I used to work in downtown Chicago, I always wore sneakers for the walk to and from the train. Depending on what I wore that day, I even kept them on as I did a lot of running around at my job.

It's the same way with the Boston subways! Ick!

sneakers with shoes under my desk..I have a long walk from the train station and like to take a walk at lunch if the weather is nice ..so i need my sneakers..

My *commute* doesn't require me to walk anywhere so I will either wear my dress shoes or I have a pair of dress "flats" that I might drive in so that I don't ruin the backs of my heels.

I don't think I could bring myself to wear sneakers with my dress clothes. Maybe if I had small, cute feet??/

I usually wear slippers..... but then again my "commute" consists of walking to the office connected to my living room!! Occasionally I'll even "commute" wearing sandals and a wet bathing suit!! I love my job!......................P

my commute involves a fair amount of walking. i wear dress shoes.

i think i'm still stuck in the younger phase. i can't get used to the look of sneakers with work clothes. :p :o the only time i really wear my sneakers is when i'm working out.

I wear my "dress shoes" I dont' have to wear real heels to work (I'm in a business casual environment) but I do manage to wear shoes with lots on height to them... I've walked all over in those shoes for wok and they are almost just as cozy as my sneakers at this point... maybe I'm still in that young stage and the pain hasn't hit yet ;)

I voted varies. Some days I wear trainers to work some days I wear dress shoes. It depends what I am doing that day.

I'm no longer commuting to the city but did for years. Seems I was always running to get the express. No way could I run in dress shoes.

I used to wear sneakers and then change when I got to work, but now we are business casual and I just wear my flats. I only wear sneakers on the weekends now.

I wear sneakers all the time. I'm a nurse Dress shoes don't cut it.

I love to see women in both sneakers and high heels..........:D

When I worked, I walked to work so I wore sneakers & changed my shoes when I got to work

It happens to most of us somewhere along the timeline, Esmeralda, LOL. :)

Employer does not allow the tennis shoe switch thing for commutes :(

Oh well, this job is great otherwise :)
