Snapfish - good or bad? Ofoto? Shutterfly? Help please!

I have tried both Ofoto and Snapfish because of the price per picture difference. I have to say Ofoto's quality and service is much better!!!!!! Despite it being more expensive...it is worth it.

I have 2 questions on this subject,

1. why not wal-mart photos?

2. At christmas I saw the ads for 3 picture printers, Photo Maker, HP Photo Printer[which I saw this week priced at $199.], and a Lenx version, why not invest in your own photo maker[and one advertised archivable prints]?

WalMart photos are quite a bit more expensive--either 24 or 29 cents a print.

I have invested in a nice Epson Photo Printer and used it for awhile, but it was very time consuming. VERY VERY time consuming!!!! Plus you go through ink cartridges very quickly. Using a web service is much easier and a LOT quicker.
