Snap Circuits?

Where is the best place to purchase these? I have read some about them here on the Dis boards and I really think my boys will love them.

And....which set is the best starter set? I don't want to pay a whole lot for a set just in case they don't like them, but then again I want more than just a basic set too. LOL! What do you recommend? They are 6 and 9 and my 6yo is pretty advanced as far as his ability to assemble things (Legos for instance).

I think Im going to buy the 300 set for roughly $45 on amazon.com. Im going to wait till BF though to see if a better deal comes out. I showed the link to dh and he thinks this is a good set to start ds on. thanks for the info gang!

I heard about these yesterday on another thread! I was clueless, but looked at all the choices on Amazon. Best I can tell, they are labeled based on how many projects you can complete with one kit (i.e 100, 300, 750). If you read the reviews, the 300 set only has about 100 projects that can realistically be completed.

I am going to go with the 300 kit for my 7 year old. It seems like a good middle of the road choice.

My DD has the 300 set and I think that's a good "middle of the road" set. I got it as part of my bank rewards gift but I would have definitely been willing to pay for it. My DD likes science but was never that into electronics until she got this set. I really like how she could do most of the experiments on her own and how well it held her attention.

I got my nephew the 300 piece set from Amazon. I think it was about $36 delivered and it came in less than a week. It looks really cool!
