Snake in my jeep

I like snakes, and that one is a cutie.

Okay - I will admit, the snake does look a little cute riding in the car.

With that said, I would have FLIPPED! I act like I am not afraid of snakes, but it is a totally different story when one is riding in my car. There was one on my back porch last week, and I called my landlord and told I was breaking the lease and moving!

It would have freaked me out, but more so the kids. Now, if it were in my DH's jeep, he probably would have acted like you. He would have brought it home, showed the kids, and let it go.

I'd of been traumatized for life!!!! I too HATE snakes. I have had one in my car back in 2002. The only that saved me from wrecking was that I had my infant neice in the backseat. I had just picked her up from daycare because my sister was running late at work. I was about half way home, when I noticed something from the corner of my eye--- it was a snake crawling out of the defroster vents on the dashboard. I pulled over and called dh hysterical.

We're also into offroading. DH just bought me an XJ so the whole family can go. I'll, of course, be taking bypasses as he takes obstacles, but at least, we'll be together.
So far, he's not had a snake in it, yet. But, he has brought home a lizard or two to show the kids.

We're in central Texas. Those pics were at Katemcy near Mason, TX. It just closed a week or two ago.

We'll be at PINS (Padre Island National Seashore) over the 4th of July weekend and I'll be learning how to do some of the 4-wheel driving. At the end of July, I'll get to learn on some granite, also in Central Texas.

I was driving my jeep today around 5:00 p.m. down hwy 90 in Ocean Springs MS and something cought my eye, I look over and LOW and BEHOLD there he was a grass snake on my door. Just slithered up and was soaking up the A/C like me. I'm so glad I'm not afraid of snakes, if it had been my wife she would have wrecked. He rode like that for about 5 miles.

I laughed out loud at your scenario!

I also have a snake story involving a motor vehicle, only the snake was much larger and it didn't get away!

Believe me, I was not laughing then!

OMG!! I would have crashed the car. I get freaked out if there's a snake in the road and I drive over it.(not kill it,just go over) I'm always afraid it will some how get in my car. That is one of my worst fears. I HATE SNAKES! One time, we had a bunch of baby snakes around our house. I made DH get rid of them. I told him if he tried to chase me with one I would divorce him. I was not kidding. Yuk!

Yes, this is "TRUE". I was pushing debris one time with a D-5 Bulldozer,and a BIG WOOD ROACH flew up on me I jumped up out of the seat so fast while it was in gear and running,(I never got off the dozer just stood up) knocked the roach off of me and got back in the seat and kept pushing the debris.

Thank you sooooooooooooo much for bring this up Janice. I had all the DISers thinking I was a "BRAVE MAN" till you posted this up.
