Can you please share your ideas about what snacks are EASY to take with you into the parks? I have thought about nutrigrain bars and raisins....but some other ideas would be great!! Thank you.

:hippie:

Mini bagels with peanut butter, granola bars and other snack bars (nothing with chocolate because it melts and get messy), individual packets of nuts and seeds, those individual squeezy applesauce packets, string cheese (if you don't mind eating a bit warm or carrying an ice pack), peanut butter crackers, apples, bananas, frozen grapes, dry cereal in individual containers, dried fruit, trail mix (without the chocolate), carrot and celery sticks pretzels, hummus if you have a way to keep it cold, cookies...............P

like PP listed above, we take Austin brand peanut butter crackers (Walmart sells them) healthy? no, but they take the edge off when hungry and they come 6 in a pack so not much bigger than a granola bar. They don't melt in heat either. I always have them with me, not just at WDW.
Protein bars
Almonds
Apples
goldfish

add free water from the park with the above and you have lunch!:thumbsup2

My DD has been known to take avocados..she just peels and eats them but she's adept at it lol.

I second the peanut butter crackers

this time we're going in August, I have a feeling we're going to end up buying snacks rather than eating food that's gotten really hot

when the kids were little and we stayed offsite, I froze go gurt

My boys love the Annie's cheddar bunnies and fruit snacks. We went to Costco and got huge boxes.

Fruit snacks and nuts worked well for us. I had cookies in the bag but no one ever ate those. I do not take drinks because I am the one carrying the bag.

Agree with the fruit snacks--just don't get the "gusher" type for June travel. They melted! :crazy2: We like fruit leathers.

If you like Pringles, their small containers are good. Nothing worst than smushed chips.

I also had some fully cooked chicken nuggets, pre-sliced apples, grapes and watermelon. Freeze the nuggets over night and they will still be cool at lunch time.

I like Laura bars. They are really filling, nutritious and small to carry around.

My kids like to make their own granola mix. I took them into the store with me before we left and they chose what they wanted (except for chocolate stuff because that would melt).

Then we went home, they mixed it up and divided it into quart size ziplock bags. And they munched on it in the parks and in the resort room until it was gone. Since I have teens, it lasted about 4 days.

I also bought a few boxes of cheese itz and divided those into ziploc containers for them since they liked those. I bought the throw away containers thinking I could just recycle them but then I liked them so much they ended up coming home with us. LOL

and grapes - for some reason they were on a grape kick. So I bought a few bunches of red and green grapes from the grocery store, washed them and they ate them all up. They didn't even want them to be cold.

When staying offsite so we could do some cooking, we've made kale chips and packed them in tupperware. Also made tofu jerky and brought that for some extra protein. Mixed nuts are good. My kids like Clif bars too.

TP

We bring baby carrots and baby cukes. I also like the 100 calories packs of anything. I don't buy stuff like that at home so it is a huge treat. Wholly guacamole has single serve pouches and with the carrots and cukes it's great!

Things that are light and don't melt. We bring peanut butter crackers, peanuts and slim jims.
