This year Universal will be our first stop, so I need to get soda and snacks someplace between MCO and Royal Pacific. Anyone know where I can find either a WalMat or large grocery store? I don't want to go out of my way if possible. Thanks.

Hi Markey

Somehow strikes me as bizarre that someone from Scotland is giving you directions in the USA here but I suppose that's what happens when we all visit Florida on a regular basis.

Take Route 528 from MCO and then take the Sand Lake Road off-ramp. If you head along here you'll come across a Wal-Mart on your left at a junction (I think with John Young Parkway).

Alternatively, there's a small Walgreens on I-Drive straight across from WnW very close to Universal.

The Publix is 5 minutes north of the park.
I've got a web site here with pictures and directions.

Stop on the way and stock up, because there is nothing close to the RPR. You could visit the restaurants and Walgreens across from the parking garage, but that will take you 30 minutes, because you'll have to walk from the RPR, to the parking garage, and then cross the street.

If you have a rental car, then none of this is a problem, as you can drive to the grocery store in the morning and stock up.
