Hello all! DH and I are taking both sets of grandparents plus our 2 and 3 year old do Disney next December. We will be staying at POFQ and we are a little worried about snacks for the kiddies. We don't want to spend all our $$ on snacks 3 times a day, so we were wondering if there is anywhere in Disney to get something like frozen chicken nuggets? Also, does POFQ have microwaves in all the rooms so we can cook them? Another concern is their bottles - my girls drink Silk Soy milk and Jucie Juice - will there be anywhere to get these items? Last time we went (back in 03) I remember a store with a freezer section in it on the boardwalk, but I didn't have a chicken nugget concern at the time, so I didn't realy pay much attention to what was in it!
Any help will be much appreciated!

PS - We are taking the first (cheepest) meal plan - what does everyone think of it?

First I would consider using grocery delivery. We use wegoshop.com and are very happy with the service. POFQ does not have a microvawe in the room...Maybe in the Food court...I can't remember. I know our Fridge in the room did not have a freezer section. We liked the DDP when we went in Sept.... we are not using it for July we will have the DDE card and I priced out everything and it was cheaper for us to not use it.

I believe there is a microwave in the food court and know that there are toasters there. The fridges in the rooms are like the fridges you get for college dorm rooms so if they have a "freezer" it is the size of a pencil box. For snacks I would recommend stocking up, either prior to your trip or go offsite once you get there or have some groceries delivered, on things that you can carry with you in the parks. We always pack ziploc bags that are good for everything from pretzels to grapes and restock the ziplocs each night to have for them ready for the next day.

I don't recall seeing the Silk Soy in the resort grocery areas but that doesn't mean they don't carry it. Having groceries delivered or going offsite might be the way to go since you need specific items.

Good luck!

"Here are the places we went that offered Silk soy milk for him.

-Port Orleans (French Quarter and Riverside)
-Chef Mickey's
-50's Prime Time Cafe

Here are a list of other sit-down restaurants we ate that didn't have any soy milk options. (No counter service restaurants we went to had it.)

-The Crystal Palace
-Biergarten
-Mama Melrose's
-All Star Cafe
-Planet Hollywood"

"Another person wrote that when they went to restaurants the chefs often prepared lactose free items for their child when a request was made.
