OK Dis friends :grouphug: I need a little help from ya'll. We are going to WDW June 5-12 for our 2nd trip and I need opinions. We are going to be on the QSDP again (we loved it btw) and will have 56 snack credits between the 4 of us:cloud9:. Last year we left and still had 6 snack credits unused :sad2: so I don't want to do that again so this is where your help comes in. We have decided to use up to 16 snack credits while snacking around the world showcase for a day. We already know we will eat 1 meal in Morocco and also would like suggestions for our other meal in WS that day too. If you could please tell me what your favorite snack credit use for each country is it would be greatly appreciated. That way I can get it on my spreadsheet for that day. Also if there is other things you liked about each country that we should really check out too, please let me know that also.
TIA

If that is a snack credit DH and I will be in heaven:cloud9:. DD's like certain kinds but we may have to find them an alternative to that in Japan if it isn't a california roll.

There are lots of goodies at Norway and France bakeries

Yes.. I agess Norway has the best snack options, they also have soup!

My favorite snack in WS is the school bread from the bakery in Norway.

Another great place to use a meal credit is Sunshine Seasons in the Land Pavilion. I love those sandwiches they have (the breakfast and the italian)!

On past trips when we had the dining plan we always went to DTD before leaving to use up any leftover credits. Goofy's for snacks and either Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Puck's for CS meals.

It's not in WS but Sunshine Season in the land is a great option on the dining plan. Agree with PP that Norway and France bakeries are great for using snack credits.

You can get sushi at Yakitori House or Sunshine Seasons, but it counts as a counter service, not a snack.

My favorite places to use snack credits are the Norwegian bakery, the French bakery, the kaki gori stand in Japan, and Sunshine Seasons over in Future World.

You didn't ask, but if you are in Animal Kingdom the Yak & Yeti counter service will let you get two egg rolls or an order of chicken fried rice for snack credit. It's a good change from all the sweet snacks usually offered.

I didn't know that, it sounds like a good use of the SC. A POP they have a great hot fudge sundae with whatever topping you want for a SC, we get that sometimes after coming back from a day at the park.

We did the egg rolls for snack credit last year and they were pretty good but this trip we plan on skipping AK. (Hope I didn't ruffle any feathers.) Neither daughter was really impressed with it.:confused3 I thought they would like AK b/c they are big zoo and animal kids but both were ready to go back to ASMu by 2pm. Oldest DD liked EE and youngest DD liked the Nemo show but both have said they did not want to go back to AK this trip. Epcot ended up being a hit with both of them to our surprise.:thumbsup2 We thought they would be bored but they had a blast going to each country and exploring. We may try going to AK again in a couple of years but for now it is on our skip list. What kind of snacks were at the kaki gori stand in Japan by the way?

Pastries at the Boulangerie Patisserie in France! We get a bunch and split them. Yum!

What is this school bread? I have read other posts about it but not sure what it really is.

It's a pastry made of a yeasty kind of bread, filled with custard and topped with coconut/caramel icing. It looks something like a donut, but it's not fried. The bread part is really tasty and not at all sweet, so the very sweet icing adds a nice contrast.

I had to try it based on all the posts about it here, and I thought it lived up to its hype. :thumbsup2

Ooh awesome thread! :goodvibes I haven't been to the world yet, but I plan on using a few snack credits on Haribo (spelling? Lol) gummy bears in germany. They're my FAVORITE candy, and so over priced here.

kaki gori is like a snow one, but the flavors are interesting and they are really good. My DD and I got one every day last trip. We also used many of our snack credits at the karamel kuche (sp?). Lots of carmel corn and candies.

Chocolate covered s'more in Germany. I don't even like s'mores but it was awesome!

Last time we had FD we couldn't wait to go to Boulangerie Patisserie in France and burn up some serious SC. We weren't hoarding our SCs but we weren't blowing them either. Mentally I had figured we would burn quite a few there and when I checked my receipt I noticed that they didn't charge me for 5 or 6 things. I was happy and a little upset. We had more SC to burn but by this time we were burnt out on desserts. And no they didn't charge me for any QS meals.

The last time we did this we had a hard time finding items that weren't sweet. We were looking for some savory treats too. The Tea Stand in China has some tasty Egg Rolls and Curry Chicken Pockets that were excellent. The bakery in France has a ham and cheese croissant that you can get for a snack credit.
