Snack Credits - What do you spend them on?

On our last night of DDP, we still had over 20 credits to use. I went to the Main Street Confectionery and bought over 20 pieces of candy. Like turtles, a macadamia nut cluster thingy, a chocolate cup thing with m & m's...It would have been like $70. Sorry to all the people in line behind me.

We did QSDP for 7 nights...4 of us...good God that was a lot of snack credits.

I like to eat smaller meals instead of the big combo meals that most places serve. so I use my snack credits for meals.

Examples:

Wolfgang puck express: side of gourmet mac and cheese, bowl of gourmet soups that includes a hunk of fresh bread.

Sunshine seasons at epcot: homemade soup..last time i got loaded potato soup.

France pastry shop in epcot: ham and cheese croissant

Germany in EPCOT: HUGE hand twisted soft pretzel.

The Mara and Animal Kingdom Lodge: butternut squash soup, hummus, pita chips.

Poly Captain Cooke's: Make your own Dole Whip.

Roaring Forks at Wilderness Lodge: The soft serve ice cream is the best I've ever had...EVER. Real vanilla bean in the vanilla, real strawberries in the strawberry frozen yogurt, and dutch cocoa in the chocolate.

These are some of my favorites.

Oh yeah, and anything at the Food and Wine festival booths.

Where are the various locations that offer shakes for snack credits? I've seen lots of slushes, but never found the shakes...please help!!!

We get treats for my daughter's class on the last day of vacation. With so many desserts we rarely even touch our snack credits .

Didn't look at the other posts, but we fell in LOVE with the new caramel place in Germany last October. We spent a whole bunch of snack credits there.

We also like the ice cream place at EPCOT (right at the fountain). Huge ice creams!

In general, I think you should get whatever it is that you are wanting to eat or drink with the snack credits. If that happens to be a chocolate bar for $1.25 then so be it. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to pay OOP for an item that you can cover with credits or to hoard credits just in case. I prefer to use my credits and then if at the end I'm need to pay OOP for something I will. We have found over and over that at the end of our stay we have a few credits left over.

I second this. I had to convince DW to quit buying water when we had plenty of SC left. I have a feeling that we are going to be getting a lot of waters as desserts due to the May heat. DW needs lots of water. This is going to be our snack trip...

Be sure and check out the snack sticky at the top of the page, updated frequently and lists locations and parks.

I love the Dole Whips, Cupcakes, Frozen Bananas, Frozen cokes, Eggrolls at AK, sweet Pretzel at Norway, Hot nuts in AK, and chocolate covered strawberries in Germany!

And always special, and Mickey Bar!

POR has a hard serve ice cream cone station. We always get the ice creasm make into shakes for a snack credit.

We also like POR soups for a snack credit.

I saw a picture of the Min and Bill's Dockside Diner menu and it had shakes as a snack credit. It's in DHS.....

Anybody know if those shortbread cookies that come in the red boxes are considered snacks for the small boxes? My wife would go nuts

In two words: "Mickey Bars" All my boys loved the Mickey ice cream bars and had one every time we were at the pool at BWV.

I didn't want to start a new thread but is cereal and milk still considered 1 snack credit at Pop Century. It was last June.

This trip I plan to spend my snack credits on Dole Whip Floats, Zebra Domes, Bengiets at POFQ, a red velvet cupcake from Starring Rolls and anything else that strikes my eye!

We usually use ours for either breakfast or snacks like Mickey Bars or cupcakes. We rarely ever use them for drinks.

I read from another poster that cereal and milk is now 1 credit each. We use our snack credit for breakfast, i.e Danish and refillable mug for coffee/drink. We plan on ordering a case of water from Costco for parks. I am staying at Coronado for the first time, the snack options there do not appear to be the greatest, we may buy breakfast oop and use credits for snacks in the evening.

I was so worried about those crazy snack credits, before I left on my trip last week!!! I was one of those people using snack credits in last hour of trip on box candies at the resort!

We were so full from the Counter and Table Service meals, we RARELY used a snack credit--and when DH and I got a carrot cake cookie or cupcake, we generally split one.

ANNND...the milk/cereal issue...we usually had a drink in our refill mug and would get a milk or juice as our drink, and store in room frig for breakfast. We usually had a dessert from our table service meal in our frig too. The server would bring us one dessert and box the other, when he saw how full we were :). You can get a cereal, milk and quick service item (burger meal, etc) on one counter service credit.

It's a lot of food. popcorn::  :cake:
