We plan to snack our way around the world showcase on our Epcot day....what are the must do snacks in each country? Is there a must do counter service place / particular dish at a country that is really good? We do have a youngin' with us who wont like to try a lot of new items...are there basic snacks/ counter servcie meals also available in the countries other than the American Adventure?

You're in luck!! There are many options-from basic to authentic.

Some of our basic favorites are:

Germany-soft pretzels
Japan-Kaki Gori Shaved Ice (your little one will love it-it's basically shaved ice, either rainbow flavor or choose 1/4 with a real fruit like taste)
Mexico-Conga fruit drink, chips/guacamole
:thumbsup2

Also, the vegetarian platter in Morocco at Tangierine Cafe is VERY good and La Hacienda (or Cantina) is a great choice. It has something for everyoneand you can eat outside on the lake. Don't forget to pick up a few drinks too-like the Bellinies in Italy or the plum wine in Japan.

For my family the Boulangerie Patisserie in France is a favorite snack. They have great little sandwiches like a ham and cheese on a croissant. But the best snack there is the assorted cheese plate with a baguette. What I like to do is get a cold Bass Ale at the stand next to the Rose and Crown in the UK pavilion, then stroll across the bridge to France and get the cheese plate. Does not get any better in my book

mexico- churro, chips and guacamole
ger.- pretzels, carmel covered oatmel rasin cookies
norway- schoolbread
japan- shaved ice

My favorites:

Japan- melon flavor Kaki Gori
Germany- something from the Karmel Kuche.
France- ham & cheese croissant and strawberry tart or chocolate mousse from Boulangerie Patisserie. (Warning: the chocolate mousse is really rich. I have to share it.)

My favorite snacks are:
Norway - Waffle and the cloudberry horn
France - Eclair or pretty much any of the pasteries
Germany - caramel corn

All of the countries have a CS and/or snack options, so you'll have a lot to pick from. Some have lots of options, others are more limited but that's the nice thing about snacks. You can get one and share. Then if you really like it, you can get another. :)
