smoothies/shakes on ddp

It depends on the restaurant. Some places count the frozen beverages as dessert (Prime time, Sci Fi) and others let them be your beverage (Whispering Canyon).

Patsal is correct. Also, some places consider them neither (qualifying) beverage nor dessert, and therefore always need to be paid for in cash.

The only restaurant that did not let us get anything other than tea/soft drinks was Mama Melrose's...but I think it's because we were on the Fantasmic dinner package. Also, just ask your server what they allow as most table service locations would let us get virgin cocktails like Pina Coladas, etc. and they were always so refreshing!

We've gotten them at Chef Mickey's, Boma, and Olivia's. My favorite was the raspberry smoothie at Chef Mickey's. Yum-E!!

We are always able to get them at most places as a beverage like LeCelliers(smoothies), Kona(smoothies), WCC(milkshakes), Sci~fi(milk shakes), Boma(smoothies), 50's(milk shakes). The only place we were not, was at Ohanas:confused3 Though it really seems to depend on the servers it seems some times;)

We were told that with the new DDP roll-out, we could not offer smoothies as the beverage choice. The only bev. choices were soda, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and bottled water. I do not know if this is "World" wide, but the mgr. was reading a memo that was sent to all restaurants, so I assume that it is.

Where I work, we offer the small dessert samplers. On the DDP you can have two desserts, one dessert and coffee or you can sub out a cappucino type drink. I imagine that it wouldn't be a problem to have fruit as dessert. Haven't had anyone request that, but I know my managers are very flexible and willing to do what they can.

Thats good to know. 2 desserts and 1 fruit plate/ bowl on the table sounds more reasonable than 3 rich desserts (OINK OINK):rotfl:
