In your opinion, which portion of the ship experiences the least amount of rocking?

I believe my husband is going to have a problem with seasickness, so I'm trying to get a room that will help relieve this.

THANKS!

The closer to mid-ship and the closer to the bottom of the ship you are, the less rocking motion you will experience. Also, an inside cabin will experience less rocking than an outside cabin (i.e. less motion the closer to the center of the ship you are).

Now wheither you can feel the difference between an aft-deck 7 outside cabin compared to a mid-ship deck 2 inside cabin is debatable. Facts are that the ship rocks, both side to side and front to back. But where we find that we get motion sick is from the entire ship shaking (such as the case when rough seas are added to high speeds).

Not even my opinion, well known fact, least amount of motion is felt midship, lowest decks. The higher up you go, the more motion is felt. The most motion is felt forward, top decks. Though, if you get a rough night at sea, you'll feel it everywhere. AND unless you spend the majority of your time in the cabin, you'll be up, forward and aft. for shows, pools, dinner, etc. But for nighttime sleeping, midship, lowest decks.

The most motion I've ever felt is forward. I prefer aft, but not because of motion (or lack of it). I feel a little back there, but there was definitely more forward. And it increases higher up (think of a reversed pendulum). I remember one trip when I was in the spa (deck 9 forward) and the seas were rough...that's the only time I've ever felt a bit queasy!

We've been midship and forward and definitely felt more motion forward. We've also been on decks 5 & 7. Not sure if the deck level made a difference.

Bonine, bonine.

I did not think I would need it, but take it just in case. :D
