I just went to disney i short while ago for 2 weeks i was sooo disgusted with all the darn smoking my aunt is very sensitive to smoke and she was pretty ill from all the smoking going on in the world.i think if Walt knew how the the smoking in his parks was affecting the familys there he would try to change it! also in NY where i live smoking is not allowed in bars and resturants so it was a big change for me to see all the smokers since no one in my family smokes it was preeety gross!any thoughts about this?

Walt Disney was a chain smoker himself so I highly doubt he would change anything. I think there should be designated smoking area's for smaller children's sake (I thought there already were), but if its not against the WDW rules, people should really be able to smoke where they like and no one should really complain about it unless they are willing to go to the lengths to get a set rule stating that there's no smoking allowed in the disney parks except for in designated area's.

He was a chain smoker???
I didn't know that. I also thought there were desegnated areas but if not there should be. I tink people should not smoke any way cause it is bad for them but if they must they should have desegnated areas.

They should look at Sea World and follow suit. They have designated smoking areas, and it's great except for when you are near them. I've found as long as you don't get stuck walking behind a smoker, your fine, and if you do, walk around them. Or throw rocks at them.

I agree.
With designated areas and throwing rocks :)

it is discusting how many people smoke im sensitive to smoke and start coughing till i get water it is annoying to be in the happiest place on earth and see people smoking yuck

All Walt Disney parks have designated smoking areas. They are listed on park maps, but not always followed as I see guests lighting up while waiting in line for an attraction. You can't stop people from smoking, but you can keep it away from other guests.

There are designated smoking areas...?

On the Disney buses the driver will usually make an announcement about the designated areas right before you arrive at the park.

At least they did when i just went this past week.

It's disgusting... how could anyone think of smoking in the happiest place on earth! They shouldn't be smoking at all really...

THERE ARE DESIGNATED SMOKING AREAS!!! my mom and dad r both smokers and i don't really mind it but they understand the designated smoking areas and they use them. they also don't like it when ppl light up in line or in the middle of the park. it ain't that hard to walk for at most 5 minutes to get to a designated smoking area. they r all over the place now. now if everybody is going to complain about the smoking in the designated smoking areas then i will support smoking...yea i would stand behind the smokers cuz they r where they r permitted to smoke. (i do think smoking is wrong and really bad for your health and i will never do it)

Couldn't resist. Internet talk is just one thing that bugs me, plus I'm bored.

If a cast member sees them smoking where they aren't supposed a cast memeber will tell them to put it out or go to a designated area. But that doesn't stop people from just lighting up again.

I'm also very Sensitive to smoke and other crap like that I hate smoker (no efentes)(sp)

Actaully, here in Florida we have a smoking law now that prohibits smoking in public areas. Anyone smoking outside of designated areas is not aloud. If you guys see anyone smoking along pathways and aren't in designated areas, you should either say something to them or tell some one who works there. I mean, it IS a law.....
