Smoking in Diversions? in Cove Cafe?

I've seen this question raised a few times times on this board, but I never saw answers. Perhaps someone who has cruised on the Disney Magic since the ship returned from drydock will have the answers.

What's the smoking status of Diversions? How about Cove Cafe?

Considering that the Cove Cafe features "cognac, cigars, specialty coffees and light snacks," I assume the Cove Cafe will be filled with cigar smoke. So I'm not holding out much hope for the Cove Cafe.

When we were on the Magic in March 2002, Off Beat was non-smoking. So I hope the same will be true of the new bar in the Off Beat's space, Diversions. But considering that one of Diversions' functions is to be a sports bar, I'm concerned.

Does anyone know?

I think I saw a post that said smoking was allowed in a certain section of Diversions, maybe up near the bar - not sure though.

Maybe Kaitlinsmom could lets us know about Cove Cafe, as I think she did most of her postings from there. She loved the place.

I'll be on the 11/8 Magic, so if no answers before then, I'll check it out & report back.

OK - here I am - Don't know about smoking at the Cove - But at Diversions, you are allowed to smoke but only if you are sitting up at the bar -

I would expect smoking to be allowed in Diversions, but I would <b><i>hope</i></b> it wouldn't be allowed in the Cove Café. They don't allow smoking in any of the coffee shops around here (including all Starbucks), so I certainly wouldn't want smoke in the specialty coffee bar onboard. The fact that they feature cigars and alcohol is not encouraging. Maybe they <b><i>do</i></b> allow smoking there. That would be disappointing.

I hope they don't allow smoking in Cove Café, either...smoke doesn't do good things for computers.
