Smoking Availability?

I know there are smoking areas in the parks. I'm asking more about CA in general. Are all restaurants/bars etc smoke free? I thought I remembered hearing something about this in the news a few years back. I'd love to be able to tell my mom not to bother bringing her cigs as she won't be able to smoke them anywhere.

I guess most of the westcoast bars, clubs and restaurants are following suit of not allowing second hand smoke inside their establishments. WA-OR-CA

most pubic places are smoke free - so stores, inside malls, public buildings, theaters, etc are also smoke free (as well as resturants, bars etc)

yeah its been that way as long as I can remember..but there are designated areas in DL to smoke unfortunately

Sad to say smokers pay the same admission price as everyone else. Including myself. Now I know 'most' smokers are considerate,some aren't.

Don't get me wrong but I think it strange some people can get medical marijuana,but i'm ostracized for hammering a nail in an area that has smog so thick you can cut it with a knife.

I am NOT condoning my "habit",just stating my pov.

Yes, but you can't smoke your medical marijuana in any public building, either...

I'm not a smoker, and am actually nauseated by the smell. (Medical marijuana, too, Darph, I know you were wondering...) So it's hard for me to get too broken up about being able to go to a restaurant that doesn't smell like an ashtray, or book a room in a hotel and KNOW the last tennant was not smoking in it despite what the front desk says.

Its better to designate areas rather than smoke everywhere else!

At DL, they actuallyu post signs with the Surgeon General's Warning at the smoking areas...its funny.

There are plenty of areas to accomadate your mom though!
