Can anyone who has stayed at the doubletree guest suites tell me if the windows open in the rooms at all? I know there is no balcony. My DH is a smoker and I'm not (allergies) so i was hoping he could open a window to smoke and not have to leave the room each time. If no window and he must leave the room any info on where the smoking areas might be?
Any info will be appreciated!Thanks!

They didn't open when we stayed there last summer. He could go down to the pool area and smoke.

thanks for your reply! I was hoping the windows opened but, maybe we'll find a better rate at HRP by then and can have the balcony.
Thanks again!

We stayed there a few years ago, and we had no balcony. Since I am a smoker, it was very inconvenient to have to go all the way to looby or outside to smoke- That was one reason I would not stay there again.

Thanks for your answer. I really have mixed feelings about staying at the doubletree after all the things I've read on the dis. Although, I read similar posts on Hotel Royal Plaza and we loved it last December. It's a big trade off because the price is right and we will have the mini kitchen...and HRP doesn't have fridge(except paying extra) and no microwave. I'd love to stay in one of the suites with all the extras but, would need a great discount for that.
Anyway thanks again and see you at WDW!:bounce:
