Can anyone recommend a good rental cabin in the Gatlingburg/Pidgeon Forge area? My search button never works here anymore. Thanks for any help!

I stayed in a beautiful cabin last summer. I think it was Black Bear Lodge or something close to that. It was very nice and a great price.

We stayed here http://www.cobblynob.com/gods_little_acre.htm last week for the 4th time. We love it even though it is away from town a bit. Very quiet area also. The cabin is just beautiful and fully equipped with everything you would need.

If you want to head a little east to NC there's a great little town called Maggie Valley that has wonderful cabins in the mountains. I rented ours using the vrbo.com website. If you want to stick with Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area, just look under TN instead of NC when you get to the website. Great pictures and descriptions and an easy form to contact owners. We've used it many times and had great success.

I second Cobbly Nobb! Beautiful cabins and nicely priced with NO hidden fees. We loved it! We stayed in Mountian Siesta(I put a review on Trip Advisor with some pics)and it was awsome! Nice and big..great view. the only problem......Very long, narrow, and steep roads up to the cabin. My duaghter is still terrified thinking about the drive up!

Volunteer Cabin Rentals is very nice -- and very affordable! We always stay with them, and all the cabins have been new and nice. In the winter, you pay for two nights and get the third free.

Dollywood is there. You can't go wrong with Dolly Parton and roller coasters!

We used mountain laurel chalets to get our place to evacuate to during gustav. Got up close and almost personal with some black bears TWICE! Make sure you latch the trash cans bin outside!!!! They really like left over pizza and stuff. Saw a few deer while there. I forget the name of the chalet we were in, but the in laws stayed at Trillium House and it was massive. Got to meet a few black bears there, also. They like when you grill burgers, sausage, and chicken. It's way up in the mountains. Great view. Not a terrible price. And they let us bring our dogs, who weren't that impressed with the black bears being on their land. Gotta love dogs.

We stayed in a motel in Gatlinburg in Sept called Sydney James Mountain Lodge. The road it is on is called Historic Mountain Trail. After you pass the lodge there are a few cabins before entering into the National park.
I thnk iti s a perfect area because you can walk to several nature trails, and you are only a couple of miles from the main drag of Gantilburg.
