I need some help. I meant to buy a pork shoulder to make pulled pork and mistakenly bought a smoked pork shoulder. What do I do with it. Can I slow cook it like I would the pork shoulder and make pulled pork? Or should I boil it to get the salt out? Any help would be great this thing is now sitting in my refrigerator and I don't know what to do with it.

Does the label say there is already salt in it? If it's already smoked it may very well be fully cooked as well.

A new england boiled dinner is in order! boil it with peeled carrots, potatoes and green cabbage. Some folks do this for their St. Patty's Day dinner!

If it's smoked add BBQ sauce instead, after it's cooked shred it, add more sauce, serve it with Amoroso rolls (or any soft roll), pickles, onions, peppers, and make BBQ Pork sandwiches. :)
