Smidgy and the Grump, Freaky Friday, 11-06

I feel you have been remiss in your duty to forewarn others of the potential risk of electrocution due to beverages being expelled onto computers due to uncontrolled guffawing and chortling. I could have been killed while reading your latest update and subsequent posts! :scared1::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Hi Y'all. Yes, it's been a rough couple of weeks. To start with it would appear, (so to speak), that I have some more eye difficulties. Not sure if it's a retinal detachement again or blood vessels breaking through on the retina, and once again, here comes that no insurance thingy back into play again. We are hoping to have that fact rectomized soon, but in the meantime since it's not real bad right now, I guess I hold off a tad longer to have it checked out.
Man, I need a Disney fix with REAL WEATHER! Not that fake crap they piped in when we were last down there.

I hereby ask for a collection to be started to wrap Nebo in cotton. He can't be trusted on his own.
And the weather in Florida is just fine, mid to high 80's.

Ok, this is what I like about a DJ post,,, he makes me work for it!

Better yet, on the way down, have a quickie of startrek, sg1, starwars, etc. with your face in place of the actors. You would specify whether you were male, female, good or bad, and which side of the force you might want to use.

Ok, not a bad Idea. Cept for one thing. You are mixing up an inferior star wars product with a vastly SUPERIOR STAR TREK! Don't make me drive all the way over there!

Mountain Dew poured.... Ice Cold..... ready to go. :surfweb: (Hey, that's the strongest drink I drink.:cheer2: It doesn't make me super :yay::yay:)

Well, yes it does. Mountain Dew has the most caffeine in any soft drink, outside of Jolt Cola. Wonder if they still make that?

Nope. Great start. Then you went to the Brothers Grim side of the fairy tales... :sad2:

Hey, I started out this report saying it was a fairy tale trip. Grimm.

I saw you move. Whadda ya mean RAN????? The fastest I saw you move was when I wanted to take a pic of you and smig and you decided to rearrange your food and drink.

No comment, your honor.

I figured out what the problem was. You have a disease. No, really, you just won't admit it yet. The disease is.......

HandsFullNoFingeraAvailableForUpDownButtonofobia!!!!
to drink twice as much because of the other fobia you have.......

H2OSpiritPoorDrinkophobia. The fear of watered down drink.

If you want to drop that sentance off tomorrow, I can have it shortened by tuesday.

UNLESS you have HandsFullNoFingeraAvailableForUpDownButtonofobia!!!!

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:
Great stuff Mr. Winkers, I'm wishing we didn't live so far apart.

:worship: I have a FearOfNotBeingFunnyEnoughToPostAReplyOPhobia!

Marie, don't feel that way, that alone get's you two free fastpasses on this thread.

Ah, a Smidgy fan. Who apparently went to the same school of typing as Janet and Tiggerwannabe.

ok, I better clear this up before I get into trouble. (i know, trying to make it sounds like a fairy tale only made it confusing.) Nebo didn't accidentally get on I90east, he was forced on to it by another car (steel dragon) that moved right into nebo's lane, almost into nebo! he had no where to go but off the road into the grass. the only place to go from there was the entrance to I90. he narrowly excaped death!

at least in the elevator, bieing forced to go where he didn't want, the only thing dying was his ice cubes.

ane I'll let him tell the stories from now on!:rotfl:

That is correctamundo! I narrowly escaped death! Come to think of it, isn't it funny that we/I, have driven down to Disnyey now 11 times, flown down 3 times, and in all those miles never had even one really scary moment driving down. Just shows what the difference in rush hour is like.

No, I didn't do anything strange with it in the bathroom. No, not like the time I accidentally had the tip of my cigarette fall off into my pants and start them on fire while sitting there.
Or the time I multi-tasked sitting there and put my shoes on and tied them with my shorts puddled around my feet and accidentally tied my shoelace around my belt.
I still remember standing up and yanking up my pants and almost knocking my teeth out with my knee!
Hi Cheryl, welcome back! Glad you are enjoying. That's what I'm here for.

:lmao::lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2::worship::worship::rotfl::rotfl:
I wish I had had something to drink so I could have spit it on the computer, that was just that funny. You are just the funniest!!!!

Cheryl:)

Yes, I'm a little behind in my reading but I'll catch up soon.

Don't feel bad, I'm a little behind too, but I did just finish "Go Dog Go!"

Hi Nebs! Miss me? Let me introduce you to a few of my friends....

r103319759.jpg

Love your friends! :banana::cool1:

Really funny Monica, and yeah, you guys won the first game, but nobody expects the Kidhawks to do much against the reigning champs, so I'll just take what I can get. and.....

Hey Chelle? What in the heck do you care? Your from NC for crying oout loud! And you are rootin for the Red Wings? You do know that we had a player here for a long time who also had the nickname "Chellie". Chris Chelios.
Kyle, help me here. No wait, I don't need another Red Winger on my case.

FYI-I printed out the installments I was behind in reading and while the chitlins are out enjoying the sunshine, I'll be sitting on the swing catching up.

This is gonna be a fun series, don't cha think? AND a little surprise is on it's way, I promise today it will be in the mail.

monica, I hope the surprise will be that I can finally balance my checkbook without having to hurt my brain and go back 5 months! Thanks, we appreciate it. :yay::rolleyes::flower3:

Please don't wait too long, these things have a tendency to get really bad when you put them off. My MIL also doesn't have insurance and has been feeling lousy for months. We had to take her to the ER on Mothers Day and she's still in the hospital a full week later. She has a UTI and kidney infection that major doses of IV antibiotics can't knock out and who knows what else because they can't figure it out.
My point is, don't wait too long

Smidgy deserves fans :thumbsup2

I live in NC and have for 10 years, BUT I was born and raised in Michigan. Grew up in the Detroit suburbs and am a life long Wings fan.

Hey Chelle, me too. Growed up in Warren, moved a little north to Chesterfield.

If you don't mind sharing.....it's nice metting neighbors.:goodvibes

I grew up in Clawson :thumbsup2 Lived there till I was 16 and then moved to the Grand Rapids area for a few years. Finished high school in Lowell and went to Davenport College of Business in GR (now Davenport University).

well, see now, chellie and mony mony are old friends now, neighbors! all because of nebo's thread. and.. a common enemy.. blackhawks!!! (I'm pretending now that I EVER followed hockey:lmao:) GO! CHICAGO!:dance3::cheer2:
I DID just finish the third book in the twilight series, and am #44 on the waiting list at the library for book 4. but I guess SOME of us are more tenacious than others!!!:lmao: ahem!

we did try to wrap nebo in bubble wrap... but...it didn't work. I just can't resist popping those bubbles!:confused3:laughing:

I'm glad the UPS store was closed when I got there on Friday, now I can add a second surprise to the box today.

I'm still here. Grew up in Canton and I've lived here most my life (except the year I lived in Japan). :thumbsup2

Unfortunately it seems like a lot of folks are moving away. It's depressing to see what's is happening to this area. :sad1:

You should see if it is available on http://swaptree.com. I have been getting a lot of my books and videos there lately.

I've been gone from MI for almost 18 years. My dad and 2 brothers still live in MI. One brother is in Novi, Dad & baby brother are in GR area.

It's neat with Facebook, that I've been able to catch up with friends that I went to kindergarten with. I've seen/heard a lot of what's happening. It really is sad, but I see somethings that are good. Clawson still holds their 4th of July parade, festivities in the park and fireworks. That's what I miss the most. It's a beautiful state, really friendly people but the weather down here is much nicer :thumbsup2 I just don't do 'cold' anymore.

Alot of us, don't "do" the cold, but we have no choice. :lmao:

I know, my Dad would love to move down here and get out of the cold but can't. DH was in the Navy when we met, so we've moved a lot since then. Did a few years in Saratoga Springs NY, then Hampton Roads VA. We were all set to move back to MI when he got out of the Navy, went "home" in October to house hunt and it snowed :scared1:. As we drove back to VA, we decided to look at other options:laughing:

My dear Mony, no, I don't think it's gonna be a fun series, I think the Wings will kill us. These kids are just too young. But next year? ???
Surprise in the mail? You mean I finally won the Publisher's clearing house Sweepstakes? About time. Wait, that would mean that Ed Mchahon is coming back from the dead. Wow! Can't wait to see what he looks like now!

Aw sucks, here's the whole gang!

capt.9a540aa4a98b4d6784e1995fcb9e6f48.ducks_red_wings_hockey_mico114.jpg

Yep, looks like a giant blood clot to me, very impressive. And please don't get me started on Twilight. Diane is now reading them and I've had to run all over looking for the "next" book for her, only to find out it's not in soft cover yet, and ended up going back to buy the hard cover. THEN, she makes me watch the first movie with her, and THEN I hear the next one is coming out in September. Oh, woe is me!
I liked Robert Pattinson better when he ended up DEAD, in Goblet of Fire.

That was such stressful game.:scared1: I did love the outcome though......GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OH please, don't you start in now too.

Thought you'd like to know, I'm all caught up.

School is over for the summer and I gots me some free time to hang around your report and have some fun.:cool2:

How can school be over already, it's still mid may? Crap, I had to go always until the middle of June.

If I saw the elevator seen in a movie I wouldn't believe it! You really have the worst luck!!

Yes, yu would have believed it, if I had been playing the part in the movie.
You got me thinking about that now, and I can picture a Mr. Bean episode doing it perfectly!

Just some thoughts going through my head from the reading........

Isn't it: No gnews, is good gnews with Gary Gnew?

Sure I trudge through a typhoon to get my picture taken in Nebo's chair after asking the pregnant woman to give it up for said shot and you won't because it's only 53 degrees in the sun......tsk tsk, waa waa, violins, and cry me a river. Something like that.

Back in december when we stayed at Pop, we were in the 50's building facing the lake, 3rd floor, rooms 2343 and 2342. We had the big juke box right on our building. The bowling pin pool was in our court. Loved it, especially when the fireworks would go off and we would walk out the door and watch MK's and Epcot's.

I don't smoke (anymore) and I wouldn't care if someone did out on the balcony, but how nice of you to go all the way to the Duncan. I had a white one with a fake diamond on it.

Ok, number 1, who's Gary Gnew?
and B, the last time we were at Pop, we went over to that building to watch the fireworks also. Funny now, I'm glad the lake is there, I love the walkway around it, the smoking sections along, and feeding the birds, but I would rather have a pool view now there then a lake view. Just not a pretty site to gaze upon, not so bad from the ground, but the higher you are, the more you can see the bland construction across it.
and 3, I never said I didn't get a rocker picture in, just havent' gotten to it yet. ALthough I did enjoy your drowned rat picture immensely.

Hey, nice to "see" you again!

Are you waiting for a job to get the health insurance that you need to have the eye looked at? Yikes! :scared1: I hope that you have some leads. (I hate this economy! :headache:)

Marie, I hope to be able to comment about that sooner rather then later, please trust me that it's all I can give right now.

Hey I'm always up for a good sale:thumbsup2

Sorry about the eye...hope it's better soon:hug:

Thanks Janet, the way I look at it is thusly, it will just make the next trip down to Florida that much more exciting!

Way cool, a guffaw and a chortle in the same post. (Sniff), I'm so proud of you!

I hereby ask for a collection to be started to wrap Nebo in cotton. He can't be trusted on his own.
And the weather in Florida is just fine, mid to high 80's.

I think bubble wrap would be more appropriate. Then you could hear him coming.

Yeah, yeah. Actually, Tiggerbell probably said it best, I should be protected in that little plastic ball that Rhino is inside in "Bolt".

Please don't wait too long, these things have a tendency to get really bad when you put them off. My MIL also doesn't have insurance and has been feeling lousy for months. Chelly, sorry to hear about your mother in law, hope she get's better soon. I'm not sure what UTI is but if it's a uterine infection I don't think I have to worry about that. I'm sorry, don't mean to make light of the situation, it's what I do when I don't know what to say, I make dumb jokes. You oughta here me at a wake. And yes, your right, I do have to make an appointment right soon, I'm just not sure which "specialist" to make the appointment with.

Hey Chelle, me too. Growed up in Warren, moved a little north to Chesterfield.

If you don't mind sharing.....it's nice metting neighbors.:goodvibes

Ok, anybody else from that God forsaken state of Michigan? Come on, time to come out of the outhouse and admit it.
I remember driving up there once with my folks and taking a ferry to Mackinaw Island.

They hadn't even invented the automobile there yet!

But they did have great fudge, I remeber that.

And Monica, how come you have a "Hoppin at the Pop fridge swap " in your siggy? Gotta nudder trip in mind?
hmmm?

Actually, I think Mr. Bean would be an excellent choice to play you in a movie....just the funny parts!

Yes, that's a compliment....I love Mr. Bean!
