Smashed Pennies

Does anybody know if any and all of the theme parks at Disney World have smashed penny machines? My grand-nephews sure loves them.

A person would insert a penny, and two quarters in the machines, and watch it do the work.

Anybody know?

I'm fairly certain that you can find those machines at all of the parks.........they are all over the place....................

I also believe you can find them in most resorts, shops, etc.........

There are stamped penny machines ALL over WDW. It's become quite the collection fad. They even sell books that you can keep your collection in.

the pressed penny machines can be found just about everywhere in WDW...as noted earlier, they have become quit the collectors craze....my dd started hers in 1995 and has a very substantial collection. they really do make for a fairly inexpensive souvenier....they also have machines that press quarters as well: you put in 4 quarters plus the quarter you want pressed...

We were at WDW the first week of Dec. My 12 yr old son had a blast collecting the smashed pennies. They are everywhere including hotels, gift shops, etc.

Just a hint - be sure to save all your shiney pennies for this! We tooks rolls of pennies (nice & shiney) & quarters.

Both of these sites will give you lists of designs and lcoations. My DD really loves them.

Watch out, it gets expensive especially if they start liking the quartes

2 quarters & 1 penny for the pennies
5 quarters for the quarters

We usually give my DD 2 rolls of quarters and a roll of pennies for each trip. She than puts some in a ziploc bag in her fanny pack. She also carries the pressed penny book (about $6, found in most WDW gift shops) and puts the pressed ones right in.

The good news is I have found the pressed pennies and pin trading (i buy clearance or cheap ones before we go) usually eliminate the need for most other souveniers.
