Hubby and I have been holding out on getting smart phones. We have been getting by with flip phones/ipod touches and ipads until recently.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a basic family plan for 4 phones? I'm finding Sprint, Boost etc. etc. We just need basic plans with basic phones.

TIA!

Will be interesting to see what sort of suggestions you get. We also only use our phones as a 1) telephone, 2) read email when away from home or 3) occasional texting. We don't watch movies, play music or take high res photos, etc. Good luck if you happen to touch some part of the screen by mistake and display zooms off to a screen you have never seen before................LOL. Most providers want to constantly upsell you with features we either will never use or don't want. Finding anyone who offers BASIC phones/plans is a challenge.

We love Google Fi. We pay less for our plan as a family than anyone I know. We buy lower cost unlocked phones through Google as well so we aren't under any contracts and and can switch providers should we choose to do so.

I can’t help you unless your a veteran. I get unlimited through sprint talk, text, data with 5g costing nothing extra for 100 dollars a month for four phones. Of course taxes and fees are extra but still a very great deal imo. Other cell phone companies probably also have great deals for veterans.

I have Boost Mobile and pay $80 per month for two phones with unlimited text, talk and data. We each have Iphone 8s, bought new at a discount through Boost. We get very good reception where we are.

If you have Comcast Xfinity internet, they have the best plan for those who do not use much data. There is no line charges, just the taxes and fees which are under $3 per line. I was paying less than $3 for a smart phone on Verizon’s network. You get one gig a month free. Additional data $15/gig which can be shared. Unlimited data $45 but cannot be shared.
Now we are paying $84 / month but that includes buying 2 iPhones and an iPad.

We left ATT two years ago for Cricket which uses ATT towers. Best. Decision. Ever. Four lines with unlimited data and it’s $100 per month. We bought unlocked phones also that aren’t the newest version, two iPhone X, one 8 and one 7.

I really like t-mobiles magenta plan. I have 5 phones and pay $140 a month
We also like tmobile.
My mom has a senior plan that's cheaper than mine. ..... they also have great service everwhere.
No matter what you choose. Buy a phone cash either refurbished or new it's great not to have contracts or high priced phones to pay off.
Bestbuy has a great way to look at multiple companies at the same time.

We use Boost and pay $66 a month for 2 phones with an unlimited everything plan. We use to be with Virgin till Boost bought them out. We have had the service for 7 year (2 yrs with Boost and 5 with Virgin). I purchase top up cards from Target using my red card and that make the monthly payment $33 per line. Target always have a 10% off deal going on so then our plan is $30 a month. A guy I work with uses Mint Mobile and pays $10 a month and has used it for several years.
