I'm going to be doing an all day tour and my phone will most definitely die without a charge. I was wondering if there was a place with an outlet or if I could leave it at the camera center then ride SSE and pick it up after. If I have to I'll go to the Odyssey and use the charge station set up for F&W; but that'll eat up time. I know when I've gone to Peco's Bills for lunch I've found a few plugs against the walls. Any tips or ideas would be appreciated.

I think they have withdrawn the use of the Odyssey for F&W this year.

And you will need to charge it yourself, I don't think you can leave it at a store for charging.

You *can* leave camera batteries for charging at the camera center.

OP- can you buy an external battery or solar charger?

I don't know what kind of phone you have, but my girlfriend's iPhone obviously runs out of battery quickly (though she just recently had her battery replaced so it's not as urgent). She always has a couple of fully charged battery packs handy - they plug into the bottom charging port and suction to the back. It provides both battery for current use and recharges your phone at the same time. This may be an option for you if you can find something similar for your phone.

I was worried about this too for my upcoming Dec trip. I'm opting to buy extra batteries and shut down functions in the parks.

I picked up 2 spare batteries for my wife and I for our Droid Incredibles for $6 each. They work great to my shock for the price. Been using it for a month now to test. I also got a spare charger just for the batteries to charge at night. If you shut down all auto backups and sync it saves a ton of power. Also shut off bluetooth.

I'll easily get by for a full day in the parks. I will check out Lines and MM occasionally in the park but the main thing we want is to call and text each other when splitting up with kids sometimes.

Ever thought of getting a solar charger off Ebay? They work with all phone chargers that are the USB ones.

It looks like i'll have to buy a spare battery. I was just hoping for a free alternative to buying yet another supply that'll only get used in WDW. Thanks anyway folks.

Do you have any sit down meals? I just asked whenever we would have a sit down meal and they were quite accomodating about letting me plug my phone in somewhere.

Check for an extra battery on amazon - I got mine for $3.56 shipped - can't really beat that.

I tried out my solar charger after posting and noticed it doesn't charge anymore. Has anyone had the problem of seeing HTC evo batteries on Ebay and them not looking like they fit the wall charger or them not coming from Hong Kong?

If you have an IPhone, check out Mophie. The battery works great as extra power and also for protection and you can charge both your phone and the battery pack at the same time.

i wouldnt ever leave my phone anywhere! thats a quick $20 someone can make off of it. i see it all the time maybe if ur right next to it and can watch it. i trust no one not even at disney

I would hope a Disney employee working in a Disney shop wouldn't sell my phone. Unless you know of a future Disney initiative to not only take lots of my money but also my property, don't give them any ideas. I wouldn't leave it anywhere out of reach otherwise.

You cant always guarantee that the employee will watch your phone for you. Especially at the Camera store. They are behind counters, and if an employee isn't watching, someone can easily walk behind there.

If people can easily walk behind the counters at Disney and steal then I think there are better things to take then my phone. They can handle plugging in camera batteries without the theft problem. I bought a spare battery. Thanks for the help everyone. I'll now go back to lurking.

All the same. Even though it's Disney. It is not wise to leave something valuable unattended. And the cast members likely do not want to take responsibility for a valuable phone.

Guest services will charge your phone. It is right by spaceship earth so that would be an option.

I second this..I was going to mention it- you beat me to it.;)
