Non-Disney Online Games SmallWorld - New build is online!

At Rob's suggestion, I got the SeeqPod stereo. Now I went to the site but have no idea what to do once I find my music. If I want to listen to a second song I have to delete the first if it's not done playing at least, havn't tried listening to the entire thing.

Heh, maybe she said public places so as not to offend you Rob. ;)

the seeqpod you search your music and add it to your play list. But I just got on and says i cant add music because i dont hold the remote. Apparently theres issues with the music today idk. Or sweet left with the remote today lol

LOL - I had this same problem...I had to remove the Seeqpod back to inventory, then place it again before the remote came back. I think if someone other than the ower picks it up, it doesn't replace it when that person leaves the room. I since changed mine to "Owner" to prevent that from happening.

On a note about the public music players...I wish they would behave like a normal jukebox...the whole song should play before it lets a new song play....very annoying last night in the Cue Club with the song changing every 10 seconds...

If you do find that you are being "stalked" by someone you can click on them and add them to your "block list." This will make it so that you can't see what they are saying and it should prevent them from seeing your location in the game.

You can even do this to your friends from the friends panel, if you want to hide out temporarily. If you get caught, you may have some explaining to do. But since they are blocked and can't talk to you anyway, you can put that off while you think of a good excuse. :thumbsup2

For all of the times I was 'stalked' by the younger ppl on my VMK list, I think could think up some dozens or reasons to be hidden!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
I wonder if that will continue after beta?
Will put my user name in another thread, btw..

Okay since I'm still 'internetless', I got my sister to get me into the game today. Though it looks like I will be forever catching up to you guys!:lmao:
My avatar is much like my VMK and VFK one, she is Tigerbella VMK.:)
Now if I can just get my new router back real soon...(I really hate that phrase 'on backorder'):rotfl2:

I am completely loving SmallWorlds so far and have high hopes for the future. From what I've seen, there are some very clever people behind this game. (Has anybody else installed a window in their room yet? You can configure the view, the time of day -- even the weather! How cool is that?!?)

OK now I need a window ROFL that is too cool, I hadnt tried that yet,

Also mims told me she got a teleporter and that its random, like someone else has the other half of it? ROFL how bizarre is that, anyone else mess with them learn anything?

I still cant get my music into seeqpod (my own I mean, I hosted had the site search, but still nothing) I think I am going to throw some youtube videos together just for the purpose of being able to use it in seeqpod :rotfl:

I have the gothic portal in my room, and you have to configure it to where you want to go.

Funny thing is, you don't have to have the owner's permission to make it teleport into somebody else's space LOL so that should be interesting ;) I'm assuming they have to be on your friend's list, but not sure about that.

But yeah, you just buy the one, and you can set it for different destinations, and just choose which one you want each time you use it.

OK that sounds a little cooler :) I find the game producers to be every bit as creative as the orginal vmk producers. Just very clever ideas.

are they Brazilians do you know? I cant talk to any of them, but I have been very curious because there are many people speaking Portugese. I have to bet a popular game in the portugese language closed and they are refugees like us?

I dont know I was just really curious where they all came from, if they have a story like we do.

I met a few there, they live in Brazil they said. Some speak English as well, and have been very nice to Red and I.....they offered to help teach us :)

The first time I tried to configure a portal, that is what happened to me. It seems to be a bug; if you reopen the interface once or twice it should give you the configuration menu.

These portals are one-way only. You don't need to worry about blocking their entrance; all you have to do is click on them and select a listed room to go to. (You can list multiple rooms in them!)

Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way. All the "block" feature does is block the person's chat - you can't see what they are saying. However, they still have the ability to see you as online and to follow you into whatever room you are in... even while on your block list.

Not liking this feature AT ALL - I don't like the fact that ppl can add me or my boys to their friends list without our agreement or even knowing that we were added... and there is absoutely no way to get ourselves OFF their list.... Talk about a stalker's paradise! Grrr...

Pink, please post that on their boards. Tell them how VMK's list worked how we had to accept before an add. They are very receptive to us and willing to hear our suggestions.

You have to create a playlist on Last.fm.
And you can only use songs that you can actually hear on the website.
When you hover your mouse over the song, there will be a cassette show up at the end of the title. Click on that to add to your playlist.
You have to have quite a few titles from all different artists to make up the playlist. But you can have an unlimited number of tracks on it.

Problem for me is that much of what I want is not available there or only has 30 second previews.
Thanks, CT. I think my problem is I don't yet have 15 songs on my playlist. I'll play more with it tonight.
Yea, I had a lot of songs I like show as 30 second samples only. Ugh.

Cool! Thanks for letting me know it can be configured! Maybe we can link some Dis rooms together! Woot!

Aengus: The windows ROCK! You can make it rain in a flower garden, sunshine in the forest...there are 4 different weather/lighting conditions and I believe 4 or 5 outdoor views and you can set them with timers to change!

Omg, I so want that but I am so poor. :lmao: Funny thing is, we know when beta is over we will loose our stuffs, but I cant help but want to shop.

In my defense, If you open your "people" list click on someone and then put your mouse over the "block this avatar" link you will see a popup that says, "Block this Avatar from seeing your Online Status." I didn't get to actually test it until today.

It's probably a feature they are working on. Let's bug them now and maybe the final implementation will be more like VMKs. :thumbsup2

Okay, only a couple of you know this, but I broke down and created an account over the weekend. I'm Mnementh Bronze on there. I added a few people to my list, those Disers that had fairly obvious screen names. I hope no one minds.

As big of a supporter of VFK as I am/was, this game totally blows VFK out of the water, and in some aspects even blows VMK out of the water (but not entirely), even as a beta. I think this could turn out to be very good.

http://babelfish.yahoo.com/translate_txt

It was very useful and I was able to communitcate. Very very nice people. Just tell them your using a translator so you might be a little slow on the response. I kinda know some portuguese so I can say hello and Sorry I don't speak portuguese.

I know we have been speculating about why SW is so popular in Brazil. Juliana said that there was a popular gaming site or mag that did a big review of SW, so they had a huge influx of Brazilians.:)

3 things I'm loving:
1) We can turn on/off our cnadles, fireplaces, tiki torches, campfires etc...I loved that about VMK.
2) We can place rug under furnuture without having to move the furniture.
3) Although I wish our friends/e-mail addys list were alphabetical, I do like that you can find a name for e-mail by brining up the list then hitting the the first letter of the name until it hits on the right person.

One thing I'm wondering if we'll see in any game:
The ability to use partial pieces or crates etc... to stack objects and create completely unique rooms.

I don't like the fact that ppl can add me or my boys to their friends list without our agreement or even knowing that we were added... and there is absoutely no way to get ourselves OFF their list.... Talk about a stalker's paradise! Grrr...
I just want to stress something very important here.

Parents, if you are allowing your kids to play this, do not think they are safe if they are playing on one computer while you play and watch them on another. Other players have the ability to speak to them by "whispers" which cannot be seen by the rest of the room, including you.

Today I received a whispered proposition from somebody else in the room, while I was right in the middle of a game of pool, grrr. Could not find any way to block the person's name from within the game chat window, and they never showed up in a search when I tried later.
