We are in the initial phases of planning an escape wedding and are considering having dinner after the ceremony and have seen some great recommendations for venues but for larger parties.

I'd really like to hear about the smallest options for a private meal, the minimum people will be 4 and the max will be 8, what options are there? How many do they seat and what are the room hire cost or minimum spends?

Thanks! :thumbsup2

I can't really help with minimum spends and the like, but Citrico's at the Grand Floridian is a smaller private room that many use (I think max is 8 or 10) and there are a few PJs about.

Key West Room is a small room in the GF Convention Centre, although I don't know about the possibility of this for Escape Brides. Sonoma Room in the Contemporary has an AWESOME view of Bay Lake and you can even see a bit of Epcot in the distance! I think Sonoma has a minimum of $1,000 or $2,000 depending on time of day so it may not suit.

Sorry if that wasn't much help!

I think those are all great suggestions!

Citricos private room, Chef's Domain, is nice because it is so small (12 people max) and heavily themed and you get wonderful restaurant food cooked right there, instead of catering food. The food and beverage minimum is $650.

Smaller convention center rooms like Key West at the Grand Floridian can have food and beverage minimums as low as $500 - for Escape weddings, the pricing is determined by the time of day, day of week, size of your group and other factors.

Places like the Sonoma Room at California Grill (seats 40, $1,000 f&b min before 4pm) and the private rooms at Todd English's bluezoo at the Dolphin (seats 15, $1,200 f&b min) are a bit pricier.

Raglan Road on Downtown Disney offers small semi-private seating areas (walls on three sides) with f&b mins starting at $37/person.

We are holding a breakfast (after our ceremony but before our evening recpetion) in a private room at The Wave in The Contemporary. There was no fee for the room and the food and beverage min was low at $400.

Are you just ordering off of their regular menu or did you make your selection ahead of time? How many people can the private room accomodate?

Thanks guys that's really useful, we'll try and have a look at some of these places when we visit in September

We were also offered to hire of the yachtsman steakhouse for lunch (I thought this would look empty with our little group!) I think the minimum was $1000 the same as the attic is.

If you are looking into the swan and dolphin for a reception I would ask to meet someone from private dining to show you around. I'm having mine in the private room at fresh, no minimums etc and my menu is only $45 per person for lunch (way cheaper than I thought !)

They asked us to choose 3-4 items off the regular menu. We have a group of about 50 and they said that this number was fine for the space. I am not sure with the maximum number is.

The phone number there is 407-824-1862.
