Okay this is my first post so go easy on me :flower: Me and my DH are taking our first trip to disney next month (an early 50th birthday pressie for me) and I was wondering about some of the rides. I would love to be able to go on it's a small world but not having any children with us will we still be able to go on it or is it only for adults with children?

Hi Cazzie and welcome to the boards

Its a small world is a must :cool1: :cool1:
It makes no difference if you have children or not with you on any of the attractions at WDW its a magical place for all to enjoy BIG kids and little kids . :wizard: :wizard:

:earsgirl:

Welcome to the DIS Cazzie :wave2:

Don't worry about doing ANY of the rides without kids. WDW is a top honeymoon destination and a favourite holiday place for couples - so you won't be out of place. In fact sometimes you can enjoy the rides much more when you don't have a child with you asking questions, getting scared, feeling sick....etc, etc!!! :teeth:

Have a great trip.

:wave2: Hello and thanks for your replies.

DH has been telling me that I wouldn't be able to do it :sad2: we have just received the dvd today and have been watching it and small world is in the under 5's section so I wasn't really sure... so now this will be a definate must for me :cool1: :cool1:

IASW is dh's favourite ride! He's drags me on kicking and screaming every time ;).

Hi cazzie

I hope you've been reassured by the answers - WDW is good for ALL ages and you won't feel out of place going on any rides without children. Tell your DH he can even stand in line for autographs from the princesses and not look daft! ;)

i love small world! was very sad when we were there last as it was closed for rehab...looking forward to seeing the new version

like everyone else has said, don't worry about going on things with no kids....you'll see loads of adults with no kids going on all the rides

My wife's relatives went to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. They are the coolest people. They are both well into their 70s and stayed at the Yacht and Beach Club and did all the rides and enjoyed it immensely. It was just the two of them and they were like kids again. Don't feel out of place. Disney is for the young and the young at heart.

Enjoy

Thanks everyone you have all been great putting my mind at rest and now I am even more excited   and I never thought that would be possible.

You will soon discover that it is possible to be even more excited - I'm talking about the anticipation for your SECOND visit to the World which you probably haven't considered yet. :goodvibes

I was chatting to a lady yesterday who said she is pleased that she has grandchildren because now she can do the things she has always wanted to do but couldn't. She thinks that unless you've got children, you can't go to places like WDW because you look silly :sad2: I happily informed her that myself (30 yr old singleton with no kids) and my mum (71 yrs old with 4 grown up kids although we don't always act like it :teeth: ) have had 2 fabulous holidays in WDW and are about to embark on the third trip of a lifetime (!!!) back to the place where magic lives. She looked at me like I was maniac :rotfl:

I think people miss out on such a lot because they think you can't have fun when you're an adult. I say ride Small, Small World and sing the song at the top of your voice :earseek: I do and I feel much better after :teeth:

I think you're right Edie, I am certainly going to ride it now and I know I won't be able to stop myself from singing. :goodvibes 30 days to go and definately counting.

Hi Cazzie and welcome to the Dis! You will have a ball at WDW. No children required, I promise! :)

And it just gets worse and worse after each subsequent visit!!! :Pinkbounc

Bexx - you got it - and I'm sure the vast majority on here would agree.

We're almost into DDD (double digit days) and even now the growing excitement is incredible. :hourglass
