most of dd's freinds are at sleepaway camp this summer. dd, on the other hand, is in a travel camp. she just got back from a 3 day trip to Pennsylvania, and she told me she ran into her friend Jordan, who goes to sleepaway camp in Pennsylvania, while she was on the trip.
it was the funniest thing.
there are about 30 campers in dd's travel group, and only one or two of them go to school with dd. but one of the counselors is a college student who used to go to the middle school where dd is currently a student.
on tuesday the group went to Dorney Park/wildwater Kingdom. dd, the counselor and some of the other kids were walking through the park when out of the blue the counselor asked dd if she knows Jordan. seems Jordan is the counselor's next-door neighbor. dd told the counselor "Jordan and I are good friends. but why are you asking right now?"
"because Jordan is standing right over there."
he was with a group from his sleepaway camp. of course dd went over to talk to him. she says Jordan's mouth dropped open from the surprise.
and Jordan's buddies are still trying to figure out how he managed to get a pretty girl to walk over to him and talk to him in the middle of Dorney Park.
