Small Stroller in Bag you can Hang from another Stroller?

Someone mentioned in another post that they were buying a stroller that comes in a carry bag and that it's so small you can actually hang it from another stroller. At the time I was not interested in purchasing any more strollers but I've come to realize this might be the way to go.

I'm considering getting my little one a nice comfy new Pliko and getting this folding stroller for when my 4 year old needs a ride. I personally hate having an infant in an umbrella stroller. I just like more support. Plus I think having an extra stroller to use when my son needs a ride is a nice idea. I'd much rather go this route then having to push a double stroller all day when there's only one rider 80% of the time.

Anyone know more about this stroller??? I have no idea what it's called.

It's the Quinny Zapp. They are only just becoming easily available in the US, and you'll pay quite a premium for it; it will cost about the same amount as the Pliko.

The new Quicksmart Easy Fold is also supposed to be as small as a Zapp, and it weighs a bit less, in addition to being cheaper. It runs about $120 at most online dealers. http://www.quicksmartbaby.com/?p=8

I'll add that the Zapp is very popular on eBay, and goes for nearly new prices; I don't know about the Quicksmart's resale value.

No, it wasn't the Zapp. I'm familiar with this stroller, a friend of mind has it.

Speaking of the Zapp, does anyone have a Valco Buggster? That's supposed to be a souped-up version of the Zapp.

It might be the Quicksmart. I believe the poster said the stroller was around $100??

I was curious, so I dug around until I found the folded dimensions of that Quicksmart. It's 9" x 22" x 20" (rounded up to nearest inch). I'm wondering if that might not be really awkward hung off the back of another stroller that's only slight heavier.

Thinking about this, your best bet for a combo of size/price/portability/resale value might actually be a Combi. They are up to 55 lb. capacity now, though I've always thought them a bit short for tall kids. You could stand it folded into the basket of the Pliko and use the shoulder strap to tie it on.

I found the original post, it was the Mia Moda Cielo stroller - but I have no idea if this is really possible to hang off a stroller, the poster said she was going to try it.

I found a store that carries the Quicksmart, Pliko, Buggster, and Combi. I'm going to have to play with them all and see what works. I think I like the idea of the Buggster with the Quicksmart. The Buggster has a large basket. Perhaps I could stand the Quicksmart folded in the bag in the back of the Buggster some how. I will also try standing the Combi in the Buggster - never thought of that before, thanks.

The most important factor is comfort for the baby then convenience for me. I never consider resale a factor when purchasing a stroller. Cost isn't much of a factor either since I spend much more on handbags! On this last visit, my diaperbag cost more than the double stroller!

Other options might be the buggy board or the Strolli. They cost abot the same as the Quicksmart. They hook on the stroller and let the second child ride along. Th Strolli looks like fun because the child is out of the way and sitting.

I've never tried it but it looks cool.

Strollerqueen has a review of the Cielo in the News section, about 2/3 of the way down the list. She likes it. There's a big review of the Buggster on that page, too.

If price is no object, then knock yourself out -- I own too many strollers as it is; DH would have me committed.

I discovered the Buggster on Strollerqueens review! I saw she reviewed the Cielo, I'm wondering what the comparison is to the Cielo vs. Quicksmart. Anyone know?????

I've been selling off a bunch of my strollers on craigslist and I'm down to 3 right now including my broken double stroller. My needs are a little different than most since we live in the city and have a weekend house. I have a Bug Cameleon w/kiddie board for everyday in the city and right now I have a Mac Quest and the broken double stroller in the car. I'd like to sell the Quest (never liked that stroller!) and get the Buggster for the car. I need a good stroller for my infant for malls, fairs, theme parks, etc.... I really only need this other extra stroller for my 4 year old at WDW. He's never in a stroller here at home.

I'm hoping to get some cash from the airline that broke my stroller to buy the Buggster then sell off some more baby gear (infant carseat, swing, bouncy seat) and get the other travel stroller.

I need to find the right combo, especially since now we're considering buying a DVC.

The Stroli and Buggy Board would not be an option. I'm looking for a stroller for when he gets tired and really needs a seat.

I didn't check out what everyone else had to say... but when we went this is what we did...

I took our normal size stroller (not huge, but not small) then we bought a "chicco" from Babies R Us. Normal price is like $60, but with coupons that they had mailed out we ended up paying like $45. This stroller has a small basket under, only weighs 7 or 9 pounds, folds up like an umbrella stroller, and the weight limit on it is like 45 pounds. It also comes with a bag that you can put it in, but also has a strap that you can carry it with, or hang it on the back of the other stroller... we put it in the back of our bigger stroller when we weren't using it and when my 4 year old needed it, we would pull it out and put him in!

Good luck deciding. It's hard to figure it out. I had a double stroller that I thought would be great to take, but ended up not liking it when both the kids were in it (tried it out in the mall at home)!

I never thought of just carrying around an umbrella stroller. How cumbersome is it? We plan on staying at the GF in June, so we'll be on the monorail the majority of the time - no folding strollers (hooray!)

The Chicco sounds good at 7lbs. The folding ones are about 13lbs.

Why doesn't anyone talk more about this?? I never would have thought of this and would have prefered this so much more than my nightmare experience with the double stroller!

Our plan is to bring our comfy stroller for the baby (and a sling) and then a cheap umbrella stroller that we'll wheel DS from car/bus to the park in and then park the stroller somewhere for most of the day until he gets tired and wants it again. For World Showcase in Epcot we'll probably use both strollers, but the rest of the time I don't think DS is really going to want a stroller much at all. Just another option to keep your primary stroller less bulky...

I'm now considering getting a stroller bag for my Maclaren Quest and seeing if it will fit upright in the Buggster. It's the same weight as the Chicco someone recommended above.

We'll most likely be shelping it in the evenings, not for the entire day.
