I saw several people with small rolling coolers in the parks this last trip. Looked pretty good to me as they seemed small enough to fold the handle down and take on rides and such, convenient to carry foodstuffs and some even had pockets on top to hold tickets and such. I have searched, to no avail, for something similar for our next trip. Am I looking in the wrong places? If so, could someone steer me in the right direction and even possibly tell me how much I might expect to pay?

I'm not sure I've seen the one you've described. I bought a rolling cooler from Sam's Club for $25, but I dont know about taking it on rides and into the park... mine is about 3ft, 2 1/2 feet wide tall... I think...

Wow, that would be far too much for me to handle. With my asthma it is hard enough to carry myself around. LOL Thanks for the info though. Might be useful to someone else who is in better shape than I am.

I've seen those in the parks too (the big ones). I'm not sure how they got them in since CMs and guests have posted quite a few times that anything that pulls behind you (like rolling backpacks, wagons and those coolers) are not allowed in the parks for safety reasons.
I'm not sure what people do with them during rides since they look way too big to bring along in the lines.

We have one that is small enough to fit into the overhead when full and also folds down pretty flat when empty to fit into a suitcase. I bought it at Kohls. I think it was normally about $50, but I caught it at 50% off. I saw something very similar at Tuesday Morning later on.

Sue, I know what you mean about the huge rolling coolers but I have seen people go through security with them without any problems. Maybe they do not ride rides and such as I do not think I remember seeing any in among the strollers nor do I think I would want to do such. Seems a lot of things are against the 'rules' but happen anyway. As long as it does not hurt anyone I do not much care what people do. I noticed that they have a picnic table right outside the Garden Grill and I have seen people having a picnic there. I guess the kids could at least see the characters but seems a bit mean to me. I had a couple of little girls run upon to the platform to talk to the characters and be turned away by the CM's as only the people eating there are allowed in. I can well understand the rule but I have to confess that I invited them to sit at our table for one rotation. If I were a parent I do not know that I would allow my kids out of my sight for so long but they were happy and I returned them safely. I am thinking of going the very small collapsable cooler route. Just big enough to hold a small meal and my dh can handle that while I handle the purse. With my breathing I could not handle both and he can carry something.

jjnv what a perfect rolling cooler, if the dimensions are not too big. I am checking on that right now and if it is right I am going to order one for my dd and her family for their upcoming trip. They are on a very limited budget and it would be great for them. Thank you so very much for the time and trouble it took to help.

I saw the Mickey ones at the Disney Catalog distriubtion store near my house. They look very nice, compact, sturdy. I think the price in the outlet was about $27. My impression was that it would fit into the stroller cargo area of the rentals at the parks.

fam4jc, thank you so much. That is good to know. While I am willing to help my dd and family afford the upcoming 2006 vacation I can only get away with so much help and this will enable to them to enjoy themselves without going into debt. Besides my one grandson is so picky that he would not eat much of what they offer in the park anyway. When he goes to the buffet near us they do not charge him cause he will only eat one or two rolls. He is 13 and not likely to change. (sigh)
