Small Po-taaaaa-toes! My 09/11 TR & Pics from 02/12!

Well, I have been away for sooooo long that I am actually surprised that my thread is still open.

I'm stuck at home today (for medical reasons) so I figured I would get back on the DIS and attempt to finish my TR from last Sept. and try to catch up on some of my subscribed threads...or at least start to catch up!

We've actually been to WDW since our Sept trip and at the end of this TR, I will probably add pictures from that trip as well.

I am hoping that some of you may still be out there,,,,,,,,,,,

I'm searching my memory for the happenings of Day 8. Looking at my pictures it seems as though we started our morning with breakfast at Kouzzina.

We drove over and parked at The Boardwalk. This resort is lovely in the morning. I love the walk from the car.

We were a little learly for our ADR that morning. I remember Kouzzina being relatively empty, which was fine for me. I have to say that I love this place. Truly, love it. The waffles there are amazing as is everything else that we've ever had there.

After breakfast we walked into the sweet shop next to Kouzzina. You can get there without going outside. We made giant pixie sticks for my friend Tami's kids. We should have realized though when we didn't see anyone there that the shop wasn't even open! Ugh, we had taken our time making these things and could not even purchase them. I was bummed. The CM's at Kouzzina couldn't take payment so we left our creations there and made our way to DAK.

I love DAK. The only thing I don't love about it is the heat in September. Holy crap, it was H-O-T!!!!!!!!!!

I really wanted to see FOTLK, so we made our way over and saw the first showing.

After FOTLK, we walked over to KS. I really enjoy KS.....

It was so hot that day that we actually left DAK after KS! I think we were there about 3 hours...total.

So I know that we left DAK after KS, but I have no clue what we did for the rest of the day.

Ugh, I can kick myself for not taking notes during this part of our trip!!

Moving on to Day 9...........

Day 9 was our girls day/guys day with Stef and Dave.

We started off with breakfast at Kona.

The guys went to EPCOT and Stef and I headed to DTD. The guys dropped us off and went ahead and parked at EPCOT since we were going to end our day there together.

I was really looking forward to spending the day with Stef. Joe and I have never really spent more than an hour or so apart when we are at WDW.

Stef and I shopped at a number of places at DTD.

I finally was able to get my pearl cage there too. I opted for the carraige which I love, love, love.

We also made a bunch of goodies at Goofy's. It was too funny though because we didn't realize that each order came in three's.

Can I tell you how much I LOVE these!!

After Stef and I shopped for a bit, which included several other stops, we got a cab and headed to the the Grand Floridian for tea.

It was easy to get a cab and honestly, I couldn't imagine what it would have been like waiting for a bus in the heat.

I had never been to tea at GF so I was excited that Stef suggested we make a ressie and try it out. The room was beautiful.

I really enjoyed tea with Stef. We had a great time chatting and sampling all of the goodies.

After tea, our plan was to head over to MK for a bit before meeting the guys at EPCOT.

Stef suggested that we drop our packages at the Poly in her room. That was really good thinking since we had so much chocolate! We took the monorail over to the Poly then hopped back on and made our way to MK.

I can't believe that I don't have pictures from MK! I do know though that we had a great time shopping! Stef and I went to the jewelry store on Main Street and picked out some awesome Camilia beads. That was so much fun.

We spent a bit more time at MKk before heading over to meet the guys. I am bummed though that I don't have more picutres to share of our time at MK.

We went in September once and it was HOT! I can imagine only staying in AK for 3 hours... that place seems to always be the hottest of the parks.

We went to the GF tea room on our last trip. What fun! My swan had cranberry cream in it. What was in yours?

Glad that you are still with me! I can't wait to catch up on your threads! I'm glad to finally be back!

I'm ok so far. Hasn't been fun over the last several weeks but so far, so good.

Stef and I took the monorail over to EPCOT to meet our husbands. I love taking the monorail. I don't get to do it often since we usually drive everywhere we go.

We met the guys over in WS. They had a fun day drinking around the world. They sure had some interesting stories to tell us as well.

We had an ADR that night at Rose and Crown. I was looking forward to it as I had not been there before. We checked in and requested a table outside. We were lucky enough to get one. YAY! I remember that our server was super sweet. I wish I could remember her name.

I felt like a melted posicle and looked pretty melted as well. lol

There was a storm brewing and we were wondering if we'd get to see Illuminations, I was so looking forward to having the best seat ever for this show.

Yay! We got to see it! I have to say that the absolute best seat ever for Illuminations is at Rose and Crown.

After Illuminations, we took our time walking back to the car.

We drove back to the Poly and Dave brought my packages to me. We had such a wonderful day. I was so glad that I was able to spend time with Stef to get to know her a little better. I really, really enjoyed my day!

I can't believe how fast this trip flew by. We were already at day 10 of 12.

Joe and I were looking forward to day 10 since our friends from home were making their first trip to the world and we got to spend the day with them. My friend Tami and I work together. When she said that she was planning a trip to Disney, I was so excited to be sharing with her my experiences to assist her in their planning.

That morning we met at the POR, where she was staying. Her daughter, who I will refer to as "Diva" because she is def one, had an appointment at BBB at DTD. I was thrilled to be able to attend. I had always wanted to see what it was like!

We both had cars so they followed us to DTD. We had breakfast at EOS that morning.

After breakfast we walked around a bit while we waited for Diva's appointment.,

It was finally time for Diva's appt at BBB!

While Diva was busy at BBB, her big brother got to get his face painted.

After the appointment, we walked over to get her portraits done. Take a look at this picture. It's probably one of the favorites of this trip for me.

After DTD, we were planning to spend the day at MK. We got into our cars and headed over.

I couldn't wait to see the kids' faces when we got to MK. I think I was just as excited to see their faces as they were to get there.

The kids decided that they wanted to take the Ferryboat over. Someone also decided that she didn't want to wear her dress. LOL

We really like R&C and it is a must do for us now. The view for Illuminations is amazing.

My friends kids are so freaking cute, I can't stand it! They are so awesome too.

I have been so lazy with this TR Kathy. I swear that I will finish it AND I plan to do a pictoral TR for our trip in Feb 2012 at the end of this TR.

Hi! I've only read the first couple posts about this trip so far, and I'm definitely going to go back and read some more! What a small world, though. We're also from NE Ohio (Akron-Canton area) and were at Disney the same time last September as you were.

We arrived at MK just in time for Move it Shake It.....so we hung out and watched for a bit.

After Move It Shake It, we went to Casey's to introduce our friends to the best hotdog on property. OMG, Joe loves Casey's.

After Casey's, we headed over to Adventureland.

Before I forget, I have to give a shout out to my friend....she's lost over 60 pounds since this Disney trip! Woo Hoo!

There was no wait for PotC. We thought it would be fun to let my friend and her kids ride in the front...and oh, we didn't tell them about the drop. Small as it is, I thought she was going to kill me.

I remember that it was stupid hot this day. We were all sort of miserable. We thought it would be nice to rest a bit and went over to HoP. I have to say, I love HoP. It's one of my favs. My friend's son LOVED it. He still talks about it today.

We did a few things before heading to our evening ADR, which was at BOMA. I love BOMA....and not just because i can get zebra domes there. LOL.

My friend's son loved the chicken. I was amazed at how much he enjoyed it.

AH, the beauty that is the zebra dome.

We walked around the resort a bit. AKL is awesome. Joe and I have stayed there a few times and we just adore it.

After dinner, we headed back to MK. What I can't remember is if we took a resort break. Knowing us, we did.

Just lost an entire update.

Anywhooo, we did a few more things at MK and then headed to BOMA for dinner. I love that place, and not just because they have zebra domes.

Our evening plans were to go back to MK. I can't recall if there was a resort break before that, but likely, there was.

Once we got back to MK, the plan was to see Mickey and Minnie in Town Square (or wherever they are at the front of the park). We got in line and it was moving sooooooooooo slooooooooooowwwwwwwwww that we got out so that we didn't miss MEP.

Sorry for the craptastic pictures. Let's hope some day I learn how to use my camera.

After MEP we went up to the train station to try and get a spot for Wishes. It was super crowded but we were able to at seee, if not sit down.

After Wishes, we called it a night. I think my friends had a great first day of their vacation.
