As usual, I was missing Disney big time around the holidays. Joe and I still had time on our AP's and there was a great rate for POP. When I say great, I mean insane. We stayed for 5 nights and the entire trip was super reasonable, including purchasing the dining plan. There wasn't even a comma in the total price.
I didn't take notes this trip. It was just the two of us and we were looking forward to just taking it easy and seeing what we could see. I was a little stressed when we started the planning because for us, 6 days is a a super short trip and of course, I had a million things that I wanted to see.
This TR is mostly going to be pictures, but I will fill in what I remember along the way.
I remember leaving CLE bright and early in the morning. We were suppose to take a connection thru Dulles but that didn't happen. The dang plane never showed up so they hurried and tried to find us other flights. Since we used miles, we were limited as to what we could do however they were super nice and found us a non stop that would still get us in before noon. Original landing time was 9 but still, not so bad. The airline tried to upgrade us to first class but since we used miles, the system would not let her do so. That was okay with me though, I was just glad that we were not losing an entire day.
After all the hoopla of worrying about our bags, we made our way to the other airline and waited for our flight. Soon, we would reach our destination.
We arrived and went to pick up our luggage and rental car. I remember that it did not take us long at all. The weather was perfect....and I mean perfect. Nice breeze, not to hot.....ahhh.........
I love seeing this sign.........
And then of course this one........
And OMG, this one!
First thing we did was check into POP. Now, I was never a fan of the resort but the price was amazing so I figured we'd try again. I wanted the 50's but of course, no availability. The CM was super sweet and did everything he could to find us a room on the first floor. And actually, after waiting a bit, he was able to find one in the 50's. YAY! I was soooo happy.
We were right near the pool and the laundry which was perfect for us. We also did not have much of a walk to our car which was great considering last time we stayed there we could never find a spot any where near our room.
After unpacking, we headed to MK. I was super excited to get started and wanted to cram what I could into a 6 day trip. LOL.
We decided to take the monorail over. I like taking the boat but was to impatient to wait...big surprise, right?
