Small Po-taaaaa-toes! My 09/11 TR & Pics from 02/12!

Our ADR for Rose and Crown was at around 7:50. We were hoping to get a table outside so that we could see Illuminations. Yay, we did!

Joe had Fish and Chips, which he really enjoyed.

DisneyFeb2012455.jpg

Here is what I had.

DisneyFeb2012456.jpg

I remember that it was getting a little chilly out so they came out and lit the laterns for us.

I just love the view for Illuminations. We love the food too and now Rose and Crown has become a must do for us.

After Illuminations we took our time making our way to the front of the park. It was EMH in Future World so we took another spin on SSE before we called it a night.

We had an awesome day at at Epcot!

The next day was our DAK day. We never, ever, have been able to stand the heat for an entire day at DAK. This time though, we were there for rope drop and we we were there until the park closed! Woo Hoo!

I have no idea where we had breakfast.....I actually have no notes for this day so I am going by my pictures and memory.

After that, we made our way to EE. And guess what peeps? I RODE IT! Finally. For the very first time. And hated every minute of it. I cursed Joe for an hour after we got off the dang thing.

DisneyFeb2012632.jpg

DisneyFeb2012633.jpg

After that, we headed to what I call the "cheesy" part of DAK.

DisneyFeb2012634.jpg

Next up was Camp Minnie Mickey for FOTLK. I absolutely love this show.

After the show we met Mickey, which is something we have never done before, due to the heat.

Next it was time for our safari. This was by far the longest line we experienced our entire trip..but worth it.

We had lunch at FTBBQ, which is my fav CS on property. While the crowds were not bad at all, it was nearly impossible to find a seat here. Joe stood in line while I went to find somewhere for us to sit.

After our meal, we went in search of a spot for Jammin Jungle. I have not seen Jammin Jungle in years. I think the last time was around 2005 or so. My goal this trip was to see it again.

We found a spot outside Island Merchantile and hung out for around 30 minutes. I went in and shopped while Joe talked to some of the others that were also waiting for Jammin Jungle to start.

Yay, here it comes!!

After the parade we headed over to MK for a bit. I have no idea where we ate dinner though.

I've been a really bad Dis-er but I'm still with ya!

Loving all the pics. I am excited to go in Feb. The benefits of moving to Florida. :thumbsup2

Loving all the pics! I think my next trip to Dis I might stay the night at POP so I'm glad you have good things to say about it.

You have such great photos!

I'm really excited for Feb when you (and Joe) & Jenn (Bob & Kiddos too) come down. I want to actually spend some time with you all! I love my Disboard friends :grouphug: Plus you all can meet my lil man :yay:

P.S. As a side note, I very much dislike the picture of the pink spoonbill bird. I have been attacked by that kind of bird several times. I dont know if I produce a pheromone that angers that bird but its terrible. Back in NY at our zoo theres an aviary room & theres a pink spoonbill in there, I get attacked EVERY time I go in there. I also got attack in MAGIC KINGDOM by one! Stupid birds...

We drove over to MK and took the monorail over to the park. Once we got there, we spent some time meandering while we waited for Wishes.

After walking around a while, we claimed our spot for Wishes. Just so happened that we were near the rudest family known to man. :(

Also I am 100% with you, FTBBQ is by far the best CS meal in the World. (though I wouldnt turn down an Earl sandwich either, :rotfl: )

Hi!

I hope we do get to see you guys this Feb. I am loving all the pics of the baby that you are posting on FB!

Ok, so now I am not a fan of the spoonbill anymore....

So I left off with us finding a spot for Wishes. Let me tell you, there was the rudest family near us that I have ever encountered at Disney. First of all, there were about 20 of them. They pretended not to understand English but what was really interesting was when the kids started to speak English when they didn't think anyone was listening. Ugh. There were these older ladies in scooters that were next to them and the kids were laying on tables...literally. They were totally out of control and their parents said nothing. The gentlemen that were with the ladies were older and even though this family wasn't using all the chairs, they wouldn't give them any. Really? Joe was fuming. He ended up going near Casey's and got chairs for them.

Anywho, the ladies made room for us to stand near them and I set the camera up for pics. Thanks again CM that set the camera for me. Woot.

The kids started to climb in front of me while I was trying to take pictures. THe ladies in the scooters asked them to kindly move since they could see that I was trying to take pictures. What did the parents do? Nothing.....nada, zip, zilch....they sat there and let their kids act like foools.

All that said, here are some of the pics that I was able to get:

After Wishes we headed for the car. It's crazy trying to get out of MK at that time, so we walked through the shops and took our time.

I love Wishes and I can never see it too many times...there's no such thing!

The next morning we got up and headed to DTD so Joe could return a shirt that he got earlier in the trip. I was just thankful that this time he tried it on BEFORE we left Disney.

Since we were at DTD, we stopped at EOS for breakfast. We just love it there. Yummy........

We were headed back to Epcot this morning. I just love EPCOT and can't seem to get enough time there.

There was one thing that I was determined to do this trip.

DisneyFeb2012944.jpg

Usually the lines are ridiculous and we just skip it, but of course, being February, there wasn't a line at all.

Check out how happy this guy was to see us!!!

DisneyFeb2012946.jpg

We made our way through to see the characters. Funny story...Joe had on his Wayne Enterprises t-shirt. Goofy told Joe that HE was Batman but that it was a secret and we shouldn't tell anyone. :rotfl2:

After meeting the characters, we made our way here:

DisneyFeb2012948.jpg

DisneyFeb2012949.jpg

DisneyFeb2012950.jpg

Again, no lines at all so we walked right in and hopped into our clam-mobile.

DisneyFeb2012953.jpg

After spending some time with Nemo and Friends, we walked around the building and hung out with the fishies.

DisneyFeb2012971.jpg

DisneyFeb2012972.jpg

DisneyFeb2012973.jpg

DisneyFeb2012976.jpg

Next, we headed here and took the boat ride.

DisneyFeb2012977.jpg

DisneyFeb2012981.jpg

Check out the crowd level in the boat in front of us. As you can see, no crowds....man I love Feb.

DisneyFeb2012982.jpg

DisneyFeb2012983.jpg

DisneyFeb2012986.jpg

DisneyFeb20121009.jpg

Next we rode Soarin, which I absolutely love. I am kicking myself for not having the guts to ride it until a couple of years ago.

After Soarin we walked over to see Figment. There was no one there, but they actually turned the ride on so that we could go on it. Yeah!

DisneyFeb20121028.jpg

DisneyFeb20121029.jpg

We decided to walk over to Captain EO. Get this, the place was empty...as it totally empty. Other people came in and we tried to find a CM to see when the next show was going to be on. Finally found one and she said that the wait was 15 min. Can you believe, everyone left....even us. Some day I will get to see what it is all about.

DisneyFeb20121027.jpg

I love seeing flowers blooming in the winter, which doesn't happen at home...ever.

DisneyFeb20121031.jpg

DisneyFeb20121034.jpg

Next we went over to TT. Joe's GAC came in handy here. We used it since the line was about 30 minutes.

DisneyFeb20121035.jpg

DisneyFeb20121038.jpg

After TT, we headed over to get lunch at the Electric Umbrella. I use to hate this place but honestly, the food has gotten a lot better. I had the meatball sub.

After lunch we did some shopping at Mouse Gear and then decided to head back to MK. We saw some friends on our way out so we stopped to say hi.

DisneyFeb20121042.jpg

DisneyFeb20121043.jpg

Once we got to MK we headed over to visit Roz and our friends at Monsters, Inc.

DisneyFeb20121045.jpg

From there it was time to try and become a Galactic Hero again...I failed this time.

We were then off for another spin on the TTA.

DisneyFeb20121053.jpg

We then walked over to Fantasyland so that we could check out the new construction. I am so excited to see this when it is done.

DisneyFeb20121076.jpg

Have you met my boyfriend?

DisneyFeb20121077.jpg

We stopped for ice cream which is something I never do at Disney. I have IBS so I have never even tried to get ice cream when we're there. It wasn't really ice cream weather but we stopped and if I remember correctly, we shared one.

Next up was Philharmagic. This is likely my fav attraction at MK. I just adore it.

DisneyFeb20121080.jpg

Next we made our way over to the Haunted Mansion, but it was closed. Joe was really bummed about that.

I wanted to visit HoP so we went there instead.

DisneyFeb20121081.jpg

We had an ADR at the Wave so we left and made our way over there. Joe and I really like it there. I remember that there was a game of some sorts on and all of the men kept running to the bar to see what the score was.

We called it a night after dinner and headed back to Pop. We stopped at Everything Pop though to do a bit of shopping before heading back to our room.

The weather was so great that we were actually able to stay out all stinkin' day, which is very rare for us. Yay!!!

The next morning we were headed to Kouzzina for breakfast. It's turned into a must do for us. I get the same thing every time we go...the waffle. It is amazing.

DisneyFeb20121097.jpg

DisneyFeb20121098.jpg

First stop was Voyage of the LIttle Mermaid. Love that show. We were seated in the front and got a bit wet so needless to say, I was cold. Who gets to say that they were cold at DIsney?

Next up was the Art of Animation

After Joe beat me at TSMM we headed over to meet Phineas and Ferb. Got side tracked along the way.

DisneyFeb20121140.jpg

DisneyFeb20121141.jpg

We decided to stop in and see Kermit and the gang.

DisneyFeb20121142.jpg

DisneyFeb20121144.jpg

The line to meet Phineas and Ferb was crazy so we decided that we'd be back later.

It was Pixar Parade time so we went to find seats.

Next up.......the rest of our day at DHS

I am enjoying all of your pictures! You have some good ones of the castle during Wishes. Love the pics of the Beauty and the Beast show, which is my personal favorite. You are helping me get excited for our trip in Sept.

Your wishes pictures turned out great! I'm really enjoying your close-up photography. (I'm always too lazy to carry my heavy/good camera in the parks!)

I think we were there right about when you were in February. I remember you posting that you were going to go (because, yes, I've been reading your trip reports for a long time, even though I rarely comment) and I think we were there some of the days you were. We stayed at Contemporary to celebrate both daughter's birthdays the first weekend in February (both have birthdays in Feb). I checked all of your crowd shots, but I didn't see any with us in them. (Wouldn't that be crazy??)

Thanks for sharing your trips!

Ok, so I was a wee bit behind. Sad to see your TR end...but :cool1: you just went right into a new one!

February is a nice time to go. I have been twice in February and the temps are definitely a lot cooler. Course, both times for me it was a bit too cold...like multiple layers and gloves cold. But it is a whole lot easier to bundle up (one of those times we actually bought a huge blanket and wrapped it around dd in a stroller cause temps were below freezing at night and not a lot warmer during the day) than to brave the heat.

I really love your pictures! I always LOVE your pictures. Your Wishes ones are out of this world good! And speaking of Wishes.... Why is it that there is always ONE family every trip that is like that... just total disregard for all other guests. It is as though they feel like "well, we paid a lot to be here...so we get to do what ever we want"

I love the Goofy interaction..saying he was actually batman!!! :rotfl:

And... captain EO - It is odd..always a wait...never a "line". I always have skipped too. Recently though, when we went to DLR... we decided to wait (this time a group was waiting so it seemed more "real") It was an interesting show. I doubt I need to ever do it again... but at least now I have done it. Again..interesting show.

That's so funny that we were there at the ame time. It would be kinda awesome if you were in one of our pictures. :cool1:

I hate carrying our XTI all day long so I normally just carry it at night.

How did you like the Contemporary?

Glad that you are enjoying my pictures. :goodvibes

So far the three trips we've taken in Feb haven't been too bad. There was one year that we had snow (the real stuff) at MK, but it was still awesome. I sort of like bundling up and hitting the parks.

One day I will get to see the Captain EO show.....

We were winding down our short 6 day trip and decided that we had to go to Pizza Planet, which I normally avoid, to get the mocha cupcake. I am not a chocolate fan  but this thing is awesome. I didn't even get a picture of it!

After we ate, we headed back over to see if we could meet Phineas and Ferb. The line was stupid long in Sept 2011 so we didn't get a chance to meet them or get pictures. This time, I was determined to wait.

Yay! The line wasn't all that bad!

DisneyFeb20121544.jpg

I was starting to get sick so we headed to the Writer's Shop to see if they sold cough drops. Nope, they didn't, but the nice CM at the counter had some with her, so she kindly gave me one. Only at Disney.......

I had a hot tea and we sat in the Writer's Shop for a bit. I am so glad that we "found" that place. We have been walking by it for 15 years and finally, a couple of years ago, we went inside. I just love it in there. So cozy.

DisneyFeb20121529.jpg

We had a few hours before our adr at Sci Fi so we headed back to the front of the park.

We then rode Star Tours a few times...I think maybe 3 or 4 before it was time for Sci Fi.

While the food isn't all that great, we love the atmosphere.

I have no idea what we ate at Sci Fi that night.... boooo..........

We had a late ADR so by the time dinner was over, it was time for the park to close. Since it was out last night, we strolled slowly to the park exit.

DisneyFeb20121580.jpg

DisneyFeb20121584.jpg

We called it a night and went back to POP to pack.

The next morning we got up and gathered all of our stuff. We decided to head to MK since they had morning EMH. Believe it or not, I didn't take any pictures. :scared1:

We had a noon flight so we literally ran into the park and did as many things as possible before it was time to head out. We always, always, end our trip with Mickey's Philharmagic. We saw the show and then headed toward the gate, but not before stopping at the bakery.

Tradition is that I get a caramel apple with nuts and Joe gets fudge that we bring home. We normally eat it while we are unwinding that evening and talk about our trip.

Well, we got carried away in the candy shop and were cutting it super close to our deadline to be out of the park by 10:15. Yikes, the monorals were running super duper late that morning and we were still waiting for one at 10:45. :scared1:

Honestly, I didn't think we'd make our flight. We were suppose to return the car with a full tank but we ended up paying them an "arm and leg" instead because had we gone to get gas, we would have missed our flight.

Once we got to the airport, we hightailed it as fast as possible to the gate. They were boarding when we got there. :scared1:

All in all, it was a great trip. With the weather the way it was, we packed as much, if not more, in 6 days than we do when we go for 11.

I'll close here with a few PP pics. Thanks for reading. :)
