Small Issue with Reservation

I called yesterday to make a reservation for February. Later in the afternoon, when I received the email confirmation, our last name was spelled wrong. I called back last night to have that fixed. When I got the new confirmation and when I log into my reservations on the Disney World website, my last name is now spelled correctly but the last name for all 3 of my kids is still wrong. Will this be a problem? Should I call again to have it fixed? I was on the phone for about a half hour each time when I called to make the reservation and when I called back to fix the names. Is there any other way to fix the spelling of the names?

The only issue is that the names are printed on the keycards. If that will bother the kids, when you get there, just change it with the front desk person.

During our last trip, I had ridiculous problems with DVC member services, trying to get our names all correct, and at the end they had my son in three different variations between our split stay rooms. When we checked into the first resort (and I had done online checkin so they had my packet already done) I asked them which variation they had for him, they had it wrong, and they HAPPILY ran over and printed up a new keycard for him. It was absolutely NO problem whatsoever, and the CM totally understood that it might bother a kid who knows how his name is spelled.

They misspelled my sister's name of the reservation last year too. The woman I spoke to was unbelievably sweet and tried so hard to fix it, but the system wouldn't do it. Finally, she asked a supervisor to help and we thought we had it figured out. When I got my email later that day, it turned out they had added a fifth person on the reservation! (Instead of the four it should have been.) It finally got fixed, but it just seems so odd to me that Disney has so much trouble fixing such little things. :confused3

DH's name on our room cards is spelled right, but it's always in all lower case letters.

I just told him he has the e.e. cummings card. ;)

Call again and have them fixed. Happened to me last year, but it only took about 5 minutes to remedy. Not sure why they had you on the phone for 30 minutes for a simple name change.

I called a few weeks ago to correct DS' age, since it matters for dining. (We are going in August with free dining and upgrading to Deluxe; I didn't want him stuck with nuggets anymore.)

On the follow-up invoice I received it listed two of him; one age 9 and the other age 10. I figured it was a glitch and would work itself out, and didn't call back.

I made a payment the other day, and all the follow up stuff I received continues to list both incarnations of my son - one 9 years old, the other 10.

My cost went up when I made the original change, but I figured that was due to the price difference for ticket and deluxe dining upgrade when he went from a child to an adult. I don't think I was charged more than I should have been, but then why do I still have this extra passenger?

I guess I need to call to correct it. Annoying, as is your issue OP!

A couple trips ago we were there about 5 days before we even noticed my husband was given my last name for the reservation. I can see how it happened. There were 7 of us travelling, he was the only one with a different name. It was fine for use, once we noticed we got the card corrected.

The only issue I could forsee happening depends on if you booked your flights through Disney. If you booked your flights separately, it won't matter and you can just change it when you get there. If you did book your flights separately, I would totally make the call and get it fixed. For kids it doesn't matter as much, but for adults, your flight info and ID have to match.

I just got an email saying "Welcome Wrong Family" - Your Vacation Magic Starts Now. When I click on the email for reservation details my last name is spelled correctly but it is still wrong for all three kids. I am going to call again because I want to make a room request and double check on the ME information. That is only showing up for the flight in, not home. Hopefully they can get the name fixed. I would just feel better.

I do not understand why they have such trouble fixing small stuff either? :confused3
We have been 2 times and this will be our third trip and they have us listed as 5 children instead of 3. We have spent A LOT of time on the phone trying to get the right kids with the right ages but it still shows the same 5 kids every time. DS7 is right DS2 is listed 2x's as both 2 and 3 and DD was not born when we made ressie so they have her listed as Mstr. Baby B and as Miss Kaitlyn.....so 5 kids. I gave up on getting them to change it after the 4th or 5th call.
