Small Issue with Cricut Cartridges

I've done this before. I took some items from CDS into SCAL (they have a new trace feature in SCAL2) from the new Once Upon a Princess cartridge. I cut this unicorn doing that.

I love this!! How easy was this to do? I have CDS & SCAL 2, but I'm not that computer saavy with inkscape and all that.

You don't need to use Inkscape at all! PM me your email address and I'll put together some easy to follow (I hope!) instructions.

I do not have that cart either, but I do know there are online places where you can rent Cricut carts. Here is one I just found while googling...

Thanks for this link! I have very few carts since I use SCAL, but there's times when a cart is just perfect for a particular layout. I just bought Pagoda because my daughter was in a play, The Teahouse of the August Moon, but I doubt it'll ever be used once I scrap the pics from the play.

Please tell me you didn't buy your machine from these clowns:

If so, you will have about a 50% chance of the machine not working properly. These are Walmart returns and they don't test them. Many of them have electronic and/or blade drag issues.

I know this very well, because between 2007 and early 2009, I was one of their best "customers". I bought over 100 Cricut machines from them, parted them out from the exclusive cartridges, and re-sold them on Ebay. I put every machine through extensive testing before re-selling it. I finally quit doing business with them when 50% or more of the machines that they claimed were new/like new/tested/working perfectly/etc started being duds, and they refused to return any of my emails. :sad2:

And if it doesn't work, you will most likely have a very hard time getting any customer service replies from them. They just don't reply. At all. Their 100 negatives in a month says it all. :sad2:

I will be crossing my fingers and hoping for the best for you!!

OP, did your machine arrive safe and sound?
