Fire doused backstage at Universal's Beetlejuice show
The show went on and no serious damage was caused, officials say.
Firefighters extinguished a small backstage fire at one of their live shows at Universal Orlando resort Sunday, officials said.
Universal spokeswoman Alyson Lundell called the incident a "small pyro fire," that may have been triggered by pyrotechnic malfunction at Beetlejuice's Graveyard Revue. The fire was out in minutes.
Crews were called in as a precautionary measure. The fire did not cause any serious damage or affect the scheduled shows, she said.
Lundell gave no other information about the cause of the fire.
The live action show is performed in an outdoor amphitheatre. It features the wise-cracking Beetlejuice character and some of Hollywood's most memorable movie monsters singing and dancing.
The show has "enough pyrotechnics to wake the dead," according to the Universal Studios website.
