Small DVC watercolor prints....

I saw some BW watercolor prints for sale at ScreenDoor that had various scenes available to buy in different sizes. Some were framed, others not.
Man, I really wish I would have bought one of the smaller sizes, but i stopped myself cause it was $20 and I thought that was too much. Now I'm thinking it would have been nice to collect one I liked from each DVC resort IF

They carry these at each of the DVC resorts?

Anyone else collect these? And how do you have them framed and hanging up?

Can I order these thru mail order?

Saw them at SSR last month.

I was always under the impression that Merchandise Mail Order could help you out with any item at the parks or resorts. But, I know that SSR had multiple designs for each size print. You might just consider waiting until your next visit to be certain you get the ones you really want.

Hi,

I started collecting these a few years ago, I get one each year when we stay at a different resort. I try to get the framed ones as long as they are in the white frames (some places had them framed in brown). When I can't get them framed, I bring them to a framing palce and they match the frames as close as possible.

$20 are for the small ones, they can run you up to around $65 (that was the cost on one I purchased at OKW, its big and beautiful).

Like tkjraz said, they have many to choose from at each resort and you may want to see them versus ordering via mail order. I always pick one that has a special memory (like the hammocks on the beach at the Polynesian or the adirondack chairs at HH).

I hope they don't stop selling them before I can get all the ones I want.

I had all the litho's I'd collected from my home resorts, then I bought smaller prints from all the other DVC resorts, then I went and had them all framed the same. I have them hanging in my guest bedroom, with intentions of taking snpapshots taken at each resort and placing them around the prints. I've purchased several small frames, and have most of my pictures picked out, I just haven't hung them yet...

So all the resorts have them at WDW, including all the DVC resorts, too?

I never noticed them before. I started collecting the ornaments, but it is hard to go back and get past ones from previous trips since they are dated. Plus, I doubt I could find the now renamed Dixie Landings. Oh, well.

I think I might want to collect all the DVC prints, though. Do VB and HH have them too?


All I saw was the brown frame. Didn't like that. Are they a standard size to get frames yourself or do the smaller size prints have to be custom framed?

i saw them at the BWV, VWL and SSR, but i have them all except okw thanks to my recent add on .lol.lol i asked my guide for the bwv instead of a ssr and what did i get in the mail both.lol now i have an extra ssr if anyone would like to trade for okw, but i really dont think they made a okw one. so when im down there for christmas i will have to look at okw and see what they have to go with the rest of my lithos.

by the way i gave all my lithos to ddad and he turned them into painting, i cant tell you how he did them, but they look like the old olan mills portraits were they make a painting out of one of your photos that they took.

now i dont have to have them framed they look great!

I'm a fan of the watercolor paintings too. I started buying them during our stay at AKL. I now have OKW & BWV too. I plan on buying other resort water colors as we stay at the different resorts. I buy them unframed so I can frame them at home to match the decor of the room I am going to hang them up in. I also place other photos and mementos around the water color paintings to make a little scene. For instance the AKL water color is on a bookshelf display in our library. I have it, a giraffe wood statue also from AKL and three other framed photos from that trip on that shelf. I think it looks really nice and is such a nice memento. I've done similiar groupings with the other water colors. I love walking through my house and being reminded of my "other" home!!
