Small Catered Party?

Has anyone recently done a small catered party through Disney events? We did one ten years ago and wanted to repeat it.

I am having trouble finding a place to do it the way we did it. Right now they are telling me the minimum is $5,000 plus a service charge plus tax and tips.

I know we did it for less than that last time. We are thinking of 8 -12 people and we wanted a venue around the lake at Epcot to see the fireworks show.

Unfortunately prices have gone up in that time. You won't be able to do a formal event through Disney for less than $5k.

Why not book dinner at one of the Epcot Resort hotels and book a Fireworks Cruise. Would cost less and the fireworks would be much nicer.

It is minimum 5K for a private event of any kind. You can't even rent a basic meeting/conference room in a hotel for less than 5K.
