Hi,

We have a fairly small budget and are looking to stick to the minimum spend level. Is this possible to do with say 35 guests?

We want the wedding pavillion and sago cay point but at this stage we feel like its gona get expensive!!

Has anyone had a wedding at minimum spend and was i still a great day??

Any help or advice would be appreciated

Thanks!

There have been many brides who really stuck to the minimums, and their weddings have been FANTASTIC! (I know Lurkyloo for example had an amazing wedding that was even featured in a national Bride magazine- all for the minimum!) There is no doubt in my mind that you can have an amazing wedding without going crazy!

A few things that helped me (although, I was Escape not Wishes)
-I made a list of must haves (There are 1000 ways to drive up a wedding price tag, but remembering what you really want can keep things in perspective)
-Look for things you can bring from home (providing your own ipod hook up can save you a bunch)
-Do-It-Yourself, (programs, invitations, favors/giftbags)

I don't think it would be that hard to stick to the budget, as long as you prioritize. We were going to change to a "wishes" with 20 people, and even with having an Epcot ceremony, and a breakfast and dinner reception, we were not coming close to that amount (which is why we stuck to an Escape). I am sure all of use can help you out with trimming the budget once you get rolling!

i guess you can still have your perfect day even with a very minimal budget, the point is how you planned it well. if you are resourceful and productive enough to build up the concept you've been wanting without even overspending, it is possible as long as you are keeping an eye on it. the best part is that how unique the outcome of your wedding could be. if you will take down important things need to improve before the wedding day, everything will fall into their rightful place. :goodvibes

It is definitely possible. We are planning a Wishes wedding for 25 people and currently we are under our minimum. That is with me throwing in everything I thought I might want at my planning session.

Thanks everyone, all this is really good to know!

We are planning on April 2011 and havnt officially called WDW to get asigned to a coordinator yet. When do you think I should call? We are going to Orlando in April next year so hope to have our planning session then.
Im so excited, i just want to get oranising! :)

Thats brilliant!! Especially with our families and friends having to come from the UK, we could use any extra money to help towards that

You could try calling now and seeing what they say. I don't think you can have your planning session more then 6 months out from the wedding though, which stuffed my ideas too! :lmao:

Well hopefully they will let us have a site visit at least! Bit far to keep goin backwards and farwards :) Do any of you use the personalised wedding website or wishbook thats on the WDWW website once you have a coordinator?
