Small backpacks on rides

I know at disney most rides allow small backpacks on the rides or provide a place for you to put your stuff. How does it work at universal?

There are six rides at Universal that allow no carryons---that means NOTHING except waist packs. They are Forbidden Journey, Dragon Challenge, Hulk, Rip Ride Rockit, Mummy and Men in Black.

At these rides, there are free lockers (for the length of the posted queue time plus a bit extra) that you can use.
