Day 3- June 23 Saturday

Ryan finally took pity on me today. We slept in and lounged in the hotel room until 11am. Decided to eat breakfast off the pantry they had set up in the room. I can’t remember the prices but they were expensive, but convenience has no price I guess. We got some Oreo cookies and Pringles. Real nutritious breakfast. Decided to go over to Downtown Disney. Maybe do Disneyquest. Have to wait and see if we feel like it. It was raining most of the morning, but it was just a very light rain. By the time we got to DD the rain was gone but it was still a cloudy day. Started on the West side. Ate lunch at Bongos. Got dessert at the Candy Cauldron( Carmel Apple with nuts, good stuff!!) Decided against DQ. Were it was a gloomy day there was a huge line of people outside waiting to get in. We figured it would probably be to crowded inside so we skipped it. Worked are way over to the Market place. The World of Disney store was crazy with people in it. Very crowded.

Since we were wanting to rent a boat and we had been wanting to see Wilderness Lodge we decided to do both. Took the bus from DD to WL. Walking into the WL I was so impressed. I loved the themeing and the openness of the lobby. I was immediately in love. Just based on lobbies I would prefer to be at the WL than the BC. There were these big comfortable chairs sitting around. We plopped down and just took in the atmosphere for about 15 minutes. It was great. I could have spent hours there (we hadn’t tried the lobby chairs at the BC at this point, but when we got back we did. There were no chairs at the BC lobby that compare to WL. They all were stiff at the BC) We are now considering for our 2002 trip going to WL. WE were thinking CS, but that’s another topic.

We rented a 21 foot pontoon boat. Took it out to the Seven Seas Lagoon. I think we got some great pictures of the different resorts and the Castle. We had it for 1/2 hour and it was around $30. Totally fun and relaxing. By this time it was 5:30. We had a 6:40 PS for Cape May. Thought we should leave to get back. I thought an hour travel time was more than enough. I was wanting to get cleaned up a little for dinner. Just put on nicer clothes. Maybe a 5-10 minute touch up. We took the boat from WL to MK. Had a 10 minute wait for the boat to show and then the travel time. We stopped at Fort Wilderness before heading over to MK. AT MK took the bus. I can’t remember the exact times but we obviously waited a while because I know we didn’t get to the BC until 6:50. Checked in for dinner and they said it wasn’t a problem that we were a little wait and they asked us to wait another 5 minutes. ( this is were we actually did the BC chair test) I was stunned and astonished that it took 1 hour and 20 min to get from WL to BC.

Dinner was in my opinion good. My husbands opinion GREAT, WONDERFUL, NOT TO BE MISSED!!!! As you can tell which one of the 2 is a fish lover. People who like seafood will love Cape May. I like the fact that when the waitress seated us, she wrote our waiter’s name on the table and then made Mickey ears. For those of you who have not been, there is a paper table cloth and crayons on the table for coloring. We even colored as big kids and tried to draw Cindy’s castle and Mickey ears. It was a nice dinner.

After dinner we decided to head over to the Boardwalk. As we walked by the ESPN club it was packed. The atmosphere at the Boardwalk at night is fun. There was a stage up and were teaching people the Macharaina (sorry about the spelling, but that annoying line dance song) Walked right on by. Not our kind of thing. Decided to stop by Jelly Rolls. We do not do much hanging out in bars, so at first we both were just trying to loosen up. ( we are pretty tight most of the time) The piano players were great. Very entertaining. They were doing sing-a-longs. And getting mad at the crowd for not singing along enough. We were here for about 2 hours when we decided to leave. We were going to do early entry at MGM. We got to bed around 12:30. Jellyrolls was fun and we will do that again.

Ahhhh sleeping in. Sounds nice but I never can seem to do it. Gotta get up and going! :) I agree, sometimes convience over rides price!!

You are so right about those chairs at Wilderness Lodge in the lobby.. One Christmas, we sat down there for a bit after dinner at Artist Pointe to relax, I looked over and my husband had fallen asleep. People love it there and rave about the accommodations...

Glad you both enjoyed Cape May, I like it there myself.. Thanks for sharing.

Just following your trip report...thanks!!
