Slug-a-bug YELLOW!!!

I tried out the "cruiser bruiser" this morning!! I dont know what I was thinking like we need another reason to slug each other. I did it to my daughter though and we all got a good morning laugh!!

We play "punch buggy" and PT cruiser "bruiser". We also play "woodchuck" which consists of any vechicle with wood panelling. If you find a PT cruiser with wood trim, you get double points. We don't hit here either, sometimes we tap mostly we just yell it out. Lots of fun going into the toy department & finding the play cars--they count too! :rotfl2:

Hmmm, we're gonna have to add the copper bopper part too. Maybe even the yellow car thing.

OMG, my DH and I do this all the time! We have extra rules though. The new beetles are one punch. If it's a convertible or a vintage, that's two punches. A vintage convertible is three punches. If you make a mistake and call a punch buggy on a car that is not really a beetle, OR if you call punch buggy but get the color of the car wrong, then the other person gets to punch you.

The funny thing is that there is a convertible buggy that parks every day in our garage, so we are always trying to be the one to spot it first and deliver the punch. The other people heading to the train must think we are so weird.

(We don't really punch of course, we just tap each other!)

:rotfl: Love your rules! dd9 came up with "slug-a-bug objection" for when you get the color of the car wrong, after dad called white on a bug that turned out to be a very pale blue. :lmao:

The vintage beetles are so rare in our area, it took a while for dd3 to begin recognizing them.

We used to play Slug Bug to bruise, also! Those were the good old days! :rotfl: I taught it to my kids before the new bugs came out.

We used to also play Rock, Paper, Scissors, and the winner would lick their index finger and hit it on the inside wrist of the loser. Buy the time we played it awhile, we all had red, hurting wrists, but it was so much fun. :thumbsup2

My kids were playing Punch Buggy and baby girl always got bent out of shape because her big brother almost always saw them first. So - I changed the game to "Love Buggy" and they have to give hugs and kisses. Now they both like to play!

The other game my DSS(12) likes to play is the license plate game. Yell out the state (other than the state you are in) and hit someone. This can be dangerous if it is just he and I. I spend too much time looking at plates and not enough attention on drining.
