Slowing down the vacation

This is my husband. His favorite thing to do to unwind is a drink at trader sams at the poly. Also roaming the grounds of various resorts that have a peaceful atmosphere Grand Floridian is his favorite and they have live music at certain times of the day. With a kiddo animal kingdom lodge has a nice vibe too and animals to view. Its a nice break away from the parks.
We also have resort time and swim.

I have two tips:

1) Spend the morning and mid day at the pool. I know this goes against the norm for what most people say to do, but let me explain. Last trip I took, I was dealing with some anxiety issues, and that trip was a struggle for me. I found that if I slept in, took pool time mid morning-noonish, then went into the parks mid afternoon and spent the evenings in the park, I didn't feel rushed as much. I love nighttime at the parks, therefore I was able to spend the majority of my park time in the evenings. We rode during parades and nighttime shows and its usually so much slower then.

2) Go to the pool! Have a drink! Don't forget its your vacation, so if he needs to decompress, do it. If you guys need to go to the park and have him join you when he feels comfortable, do that. I think a lot of times, people think they have to follow these rules on how to do Disney, and I figured out a long time ago, that doing what makes you feel comfortable is the best way. :) Have fun!
