I know there is really no "slow" time at Disney but does anyone know a slower time to vacation there? We want to book our vacation for next year and just wanted your opinions....thanks

And I have never stood in line for anything! The only problem with that time of year is the unpredictable weather, usually no swimming, but, we love no lines. We were able to walk in for BF at Cindy's last year with no PS and about a 5 minute wait.

We like the week before Thanksgiving. Low crowds, warm weather, and the decorations are going up! October is pretty good too!

I have a semi-related question. Where it is cheaper (fewer points) to stay off season do the DVC resorts sell out faster? Would I have to book 12 months out to ensure getting a room in say September or January?

During the value months, I think the only time that one needs to be on top of the 11 month window is for the first two weeks of Dec.

Sept is very slow period - so is January - although I think January is getting to be more popular.

Sept has little lines - very uncrowded - but it is hot and humdity still.

just don't try Dec anytime but the 11th month period.....It is very popular with DVC members - however the parks are not that crowded. Besides the Christmas decorations are up, the Christmas shows are happening - everything is beautiful!!!!

So if I owned HH I probably wouldn't have trouble booking at WDW 7 months out in cheap season except in December?

Also I went last year in Sept and the lines were very short but it was 90 every day.

so, is early nov and then early dec less crowded? Away from the holidays? What is it like to be there on Thanksgiving? Absolutely packed? Also how is the weather during those times? When do they put the CHristmas decorations up? I am already thinking about our trip next year and want to take advantage of the 11th month reservation......thanks for all the info!!

We used to always visit WDW during Thanksgiving week. We would arrive the Saturday before and leave the Saturday after Thanksgiving. This allowed us to do the parks at a more leisurely pace Saturday through Wednesday and then hang out at the hotel, miniature golf, etc. the remaining days. We learned to avoid the parks on Thursday because of the crowds. Annmarie
