Hello everybody, it has been forever since I have posted but I am glad to be back.

I am very interested in finding out what the slowest time of the year is at the world. I seem to remember it being sometime between thanksgiving and christmast or was it after new years? I forget. I imagine this question has been asked before so I apologise for being redundant. Thanks for your help!

Yes, statistics from a few years ago: the 1st 2 weeks in December have the lowest park attendance of the year.

September is also slow (no one wants to take the kids out of school, when it first starts).

Also, mid November, early December any time in January and May are slower than peak!

According to the official guide, the week after Labor Day is the slowest week of the year.

Last trip for us was third week in September, 2000 and the crowds were NON-EXISTENT!!! I remember showing our video to the grandparents and my stepfather remarked, "Where are all the people???"

We are planning on end of August this year due to DD's heavy 8th grade work load, and I am totally freaking out thinking the crowds will be unbearable!!

From after New Year's Day through second week in Feb.

From after Labor Day through the end of Sept.

From after the Thanksgiving Day weekend through the week leading into Christmas.

We have gone during the first week of Feb and during the first two weeks of Sept and the crowds are no where to be found other then at the MK on the day they are doing Spectromagic or Fireworks.

Tiffany hit it right on the mark. Lowest crowds are Jan. and first week of Feb., September right after school begins, mid Nov. and the first two weeks of December. First week of May is usually kind of slow as well as all kids/adults are still in school and usually geering up towards exams/finals. However, please remember that it doesn't matter if it is the slowest time of the year, when the weekend comes, the locals come out and the parks will occasionally have nice crowds (I find that MK and MGM on the weekends are usually crowded with ride times around 30/45 mins).

yippeee!!

We are going the week after labor day. (Kids will miss three days of school, but I think they can handle it :) )
I also realize though that with the FTP, it may be a little more crowded than usual, but that's ok with me.

Hi - FTP is the fairytale package that recently ended. If you paid for 4 nights with ultimate park hopper pass, you got 3 nights including pass free. It was a great deal if you needed passes. Also, we usually go the first full week in Dec and crowds are always very low. We walked onto rides such as buzz lightyear, tower of terror, test track, etc with no wait times. It was great and weather is usually terrific at that time of year. :D
