I love KFC! I had Popeyes once and I didn't care for it.

As a New Orleanian, I would have to say.... POPEYES!!!!!
Love the spicy chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy and they have the best biscuits!

ITA! Remember when they 1st opened how big those biscuits were? And how they'd brush them with butter 5 times before they were served?

I remember when I worked at the World's Fair one of us at the shop would usually stop and get a dozen biscuits for breakfast every day.

As far as I'm concerned, there is no comparison. Popeyes RULES!! KFC is too bland. I love the Popeyes spicey chicken. Their gravy is much better too!

I don't like either.

I might be from the Chicago area, but I'm all southern at heart.
I like my chicken cooked in a cast iron skillet!!
It's the only proper way to cook it!! (So says Paula Deen too!!)

I voted KFC because I don't like Popeye's at all. But I REALLY like Lee's Chicken--don't know if its a local or national chain. BUT, they have GREAT chicken and AWESOME sweet tea!!!

Out of the 2, I like KFC better. Only had Popeye's once I believe. We also have Lee's Famous Recipe and I like it better.

I come home from work and what do I see?
I have worked for KFC for 20 years.
Still love the biscuits, although they were way better back when we made them from scratch. Heck..everything was better back then. But BOY OH BOY did it take forever to make the stuff!
By the way..to the poster who mentioned the shortening. KFC is going to all liquid 100% vegetable very soon.

If I had to choose between the two of them I would choose Popeyes. I refuse to each KFCs any more since I got sick on it the last time I ate it.

If I order out for chicken I get White Fence Farm. It is healthier and quite good. Yes, it is a bit more money but in my opinion well worth it.
